I could care less about the Sex crap involved,except if underage sex proven,immediate arrests MUST BE MADE but a major concern is how the FBI handled the information once again.
The Repair Shop may or may not have known whether the HDD was the original DEPENDING ON THE REPAIR to be done. If it needed a HDD replacement,they could have researched a replacement HDD that is compatible and if proprietary( built for that particular Model) they would have had
to get an HDD from the PC Manufacturer due to its specs. MACs are especially like this,Dells, HPs will have HDD made with their own specs...so the only way to replace the same Model of HDD is by the Manufacturer a lot of the time.
When the Laptop is made they have particular Lot#s on the HDD that are particular to THAT LAPTOP and the Manufacturer would have that specification. The run on that Laptop would notate a Lot# from the HDD Manufacturer the Laptop Manufacturer purchased it from.
If the HDD is different than the original Lot# HDD there is a POSSIBILITY the HDD was changed even though it may say it is the same Model# as when it was purchased...
