A good part of Day1 was offroad. The expedition from Nyahururu to Marigat and off to Rimoi is one for the records. Making a train where there are no roads 🚂

Our first campsite was adjacent to the Keiyo River @ Rimoi Crocodile Camp. Magnificent.
And yes, I picked a spot by the river side and the wake up call from the birds is memorable

So it's been raining all night and the hopes for the river are just that ~ hopes only. The 'cow has refused'.
And we map out a new route of 110km offroad to a tarmac whic is 10km accross the river (Offroad is wet wet wet 🌧️💦💧)

Go visit the North. Our route back was via the main route: Eliye-Lodwar-Kitale-to NBI. Only 40km to Lodwar has no tarmac (but smooth graded and WIP) @NziokaWaita
