1. That's conditioning. At no other point in history was any kind of race, clan, ethnic exclusivity that was not just a character / behavior filter, seen as immoral. That's something you had to be taught, and at a young formative age.

@A_J_Kerek @HendricksonAm @charlesmurray 2. Models of ethnocentrism-humanitarianism-individualism models show ethnocentrism always wins. IRL it's more complex, but ethnocentrism still mostly won in most of human history. You're telling people to do something that is evolutionarily disadvantageous.

@A_J_Kerek @HendricksonAm @charlesmurray Basically, you cannot eradicate what you call "racism", only suppress it. As soon as the mechanisms of suppression fail, what you're left with is a mess. The balkans, the caucasus - the US will be that but way bigger and more bloody.
@A_J_Kerek @HendricksonAm @charlesmurray You can understand this cognitively, but still "feel" that it's "wrong". This is why this crap has to be drilled into you as a child. By the time you're an adult, the fact that it's so stupid, and you're morally-independent by then, would make it not stick.

@A_J_Kerek @HendricksonAm @charlesmurray Incidentally, I really enjoy post-apocalyptic stories and videogames. But the creators of these stories lack historical imagination. They project modern morality onto a world that would rapidly return to baseline, and far faster than you might imagine.
