Understand how vote trimming works, and how the United States Postal Service was a KEY PLAYER in that effort to undermine and suppress the vote at the behest of the GOP.
Imagine a state with 100 counties.
Of those 100 counties, (1/8)
10 of them have "high populations" - it is statistically proven that 9 times out of 10, high population density areas lean Democrat.
The other 90 - they are "low to mid density".
Here's what happens:
Throughout the process, (2/8)
the USPS slowed mail delivery - on purpose - DO NOT IGNORE THIS FACT.
In MAJOR LARGE AREAS, larger numbers of items were "slowed" - this showed "noticeable" numbers in the statistics.
In "low density areas" those numbers are NOWHERE NEAR AS NOTICEABLE. (3/8)
Say a county with 10k residents looses/slows 200 ballots. Now amplify that by 90 more counties.
200x90 = 18,000 RANDOM votes. This not near as evident on a "state wide look" - but when you figure in low density counties make up huge portions of state legislatures, (4/8)
it can now be visible how 18,000 randomly missing votes turns into tons of districts that go red or stay red by vote margins that are minimal.
THIS IS HOW THE RED WALL IS MAINTAINED. (5/8)
The same concept works in electronic balloting machines where there are no paper trail audits of EVERY SINGLE VOTE CAST.
Now you know how "behind the scenes" the GOP has been working the system. This year, they did it on a national scale in front of your very eyes. (6/8)
For what it's worth, @KillChaindoc describes some of this concept via voter registration databases and insecure voting machines - the USPS did the part of the trimming missed by the machines by slowing mail ballots.
All the little numbers spread out affect State govs (7/8).
It also plays into the gerrymandering concept but without being "caught" messing with the districts... They do it on the tally. (8/8)
This is a link to another thread that exhibits what vote-trimming "COULD" look like in #Kentucky in this election - (could also be vote-flipping as mentioned in @killchaindoc):
