As of now, based on what we know at this moment, Joe Biden has all but wrapped up the presidency.

Here are 4 things our @playbookplus authors are focused on as we move out of election season, and into lame duck and a new season of governing:

1. Will there be a Covid-relief bill?

Speaker Pelosi called for Republicans to re-enter negotiations this morning, which is a sign she’s ready to get down to business. But we have no idea what the Trump administration will do now.

2. How will Dems view their mandate?
At the end of the day, it seems like Biden would be the first president in decades to begin his presidency without both chambers of Congress, which would limit his ability to execute some of his agenda

Donald Trump will wake up Friday on the brink of defeat, still lagging in Arizona and Nevada and with Joe Biden steadily gaining on him in Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Here are the three storylines that will dominate the day 👇politico.com/news/2020/11/0…
1️⃣ Trump’s almost out of time
• His lead was rapidly evaporating overnight in Pa.
• In Nevada, Biden was ahead by about 11,400 votes. Most votes left to count are from Democratic Clark County.
• Early Friday, Biden overtook him by 917 votes in Georgia.

2️⃣ The sounds of GOP silence
A body of prominent Republicans haven't really called Trump out for his attacks on the integrity of the election or baseless claims of victory. The silence is functional encouragement to fight on.

The votes are still being counted — slowly.

Our @playbookplus authors say Biden has the upper hand in the battle for the presidency. But this battle will be a multi-front political and legal struggle that could drag on for weeks.

President Trump has demonstrated precisely what his White House and campaign suggested he’d do: He is filing lawsuits, lobbing rhetorical bombshells and trying to stave off defeat politico.com/newsletters/pl…
Here's where we are this A.M.:

The AP has Biden at 264 electoral votes after it put Arizona in his corner — just six short of the presidency. Other media organizations have held off at putting him this close. Trump is warning of “secretly dumped ballots.”

Joe Biden has won Wisconsin's ten electoral votes
politico.com/2020-election/…
Biden just won what might be the most polarized state in the country: Wisconsin. It's the first of three big wins he needs to reach 270. politico.com/news/2020/11/0…
Trump’s victory in the state four years ago was perhaps the most surprising outcome of the 2016 election. No Republican had carried Wisconsin since 1984, and Hillary Clinton didn’t visit the state once during the general election. politi.co/3oYPlGE

BREAKING: Trump campaign says it will request recount in Wisconsin politico.com/news/2020/11/0…
President Trump's reelection campaign announced that it would "immediately" request a recount in Wisconsin, as vote totals showed him narrowly trailing Joe Biden with 95 percent of ballots reported politico.com/news/2020/11/0…
