So.. from where do I start.. From his U-19 triumph or from his first International century at Eden Gardens.. U-19 Triumph came on the day.. when senior Indian team won the CB series 2008 by beating Australia in the second final at GABBA..
There was the indication to us that Indian team success and Virat Kohli's success are synchronized.. Slowly & gradually he started making his way into the senior side.. In ODI Cricket he quickly started making a long strides.. was waiting for his Test debut..
Everyone believed that he will be able to replicate his success in the longer formats as well.. There were questions raised on his aggression, temperament.. but very soon everyone realized that he deals with his emotions in this fashion only..
Getting into cold War means Virat develops more hunger to get his team off the line.. Then that 2014 England tour happened.. Distraous that was.. How will Kohli come back after this..?? The way he made a comeback vs Australia.. he earned his nickname "King Kohli" from there on..
Then there was no one stopping this man on the Cricket field.. Any format.. any ground.. he will come and score runs for fun.. Made batting look so easy.. Remind you.. It's not...
With the responsibility of Captain added to his feather.. he gradually learned on how to get control over his emotions..That's a sign of a Champion sportsperson.. Keep improving in every aspect of the game..
My favrt test ton of VK will be one against England at Birmingham.. Second will be his 25th Test Century at New Optus Stadium, Perth... Third will be the hundred at Centurion.. Lone warrior in all the 3 innings..
Favrt ODI ton.. ummm... Hundred at Nagpur while chasing 350+ against Australia.. Hundred at Vizag against Australia.. Twin tons at South Africa..
My favrt non-50 ODI knock will be his 35 runs knock at CWC final 2011..
Favrt T-20 knock... has to be against Australia.. at Mohali.. followed by knock against Pak at Eden Gardens.. Both came at 2016 T-20 WC.. Third favrt will be his knock against RSA in the SF of the 2014 T-20 WC..
Favrt non-50 T-20 knock will be 49 against Pak at Mirpur.. Asia Cup 2016..
A very happy birthday to the modern day genius.. Best all-format batter by a fair margin.. @imVkohli .. Keep shining.. May this 32nd year of your life brings enormous joy to the countrymen all around..
James Anderson is on the verge of creating history which every pace bowler will look upto for years to come..His longetivity should be appreciated by everyone..At the age of 38..being a fast bowler and still playing in the highest level of the game.. that's really a massive..
Massive acheivement..no doubt or denial in it..17 years after making his debut this man is still going strong..Those ageing knees might pain and strain at time but Anderson is ever ready to take that red ball in his hand..We all always associate Anderson with swing..
But swing has not been his companion as much from the last 4-5 years of his illustrious Test Career..It has been the Seam..the "Wobble" Seam..he tends to get that nip from the surface now..which was not the case in his early parts of career..
There are moments in Sporting history that live forever...One of those moments was created #OnThisDay back in 1983..when Kapil Dev & his players glorified our nation with 1st World Cup Trophy...It was undoubtedly India's finest hour in International Cricket...
On display..was the cream of International Cricket..the incomparable ViV Richards...the quartet of pace bowling.. Roberts,Garner,Marshall & Holding...the elegant David Gower and Ian Botham of England... Australia had two of the fastest Pacers..Deniss Lilee & Jeff Thompson..
Pakistan's run machines...Zaheer Abbas,Javed Miandad and ever dangerous Imran khan...Against these giants...India hold a very minor chance...We had Gavaskar & Amarnath as of the finest Batters of Pace bowling..we had Kapil as an AR...but still we were behind..We were Underdogs..
