@10PYusuf says need “permanent reserved seat for people who are care experienced”. Care Review must have care experienced people at the centre. Children Act was positive legislation, reviews have come and gone, but system still seems broken, perhaps not fit for purpose. #ncasc20

Care Review is a massive opportunity to get things right, to examine the system in its broadest sense. Must work with people who’ve experienced it. Need to push forward principle of the right placement for each child with right support for each child @charlottehrams1 #ncasc20

The Care Review must be a cross govt priority says @charlottehrams1. We must build on evidence of what works - it’s about care but also ensuring fewer children need to be in care at all. Work with parents, children on edge of care. Care can help children stay in families #ncasc20

Big ambitions from @charlottehrams1 incl co-production. Keeping families together. More support for #kinshipcare. Focus on adolescents. Partnerships so all aspects of children’s lives supported. Remember to do as much as we can now because children in care can’t wait #ncasc20

@IsabelleTrowler says Care Review needs to go big conceptually. COVID has brought huge challenges to families. Can we push for a welfare response that respects strengths of families and communities? “I would love to see more support for kinship and community based care” #ncasc20
