Some ignorant firangi journalists attacked Modi Govt as "fascist" because #ArnabGoswami was arrested by Indian police and some informed firangi media outlets referred Arnab Goswami as "controversial" and "Right Wing" when he was arrested by police.

Is #ArnabGoswami controversial? Is Arnab Goswami Right Wing?

Why aren't corrupt journalists who were caught brokering cabinet berths not painted as "controversial"? journalists who are openly Islamist and Anti-India not referred as "controversial"? Why are they accepted and recruited by "reputed" international media outlets? #ArnabGoswami

Is Arnab "Right Wing"? People who have no concrete arguments will try to get away by labelling others and people hatch on to these labels to keep up their confirmation biases.

The Lutyens media can easily target & get away by calling #ArnabGoswami "controversial" & "Right Wing"

Being born in a Communist and Army family, he has the both Left and Nationalistic inclinations.

Only if people have cared to look at his work(field work too) - when did being a Left leaning and Nationalistic journalist become "controversial" and "Right Wing"? #ArnabGoswami

#ArnabGoswami was one of the journalists who made sure that the news of moral police brigade who hauled women in Mangalore pub got highlighted.

During UPA scams it was #ArnabGoswami who was asking questions like "what about tax payers money?", "why should tax payers pay for Kingfisher Airlines?" when rest of the media bowling full tosses to Vijay Mallya & Co.

My Centre-Left colleague was very excited to see a journalist asking right questions and becoming a popular voice on TV. Part of Indian Left saw #ArnabGoswami in them.

When #ArnabGoswami was with Times Now, he always had someone from Communist parties, many spokespersons of Communist parties appeared more on Times Now than NDTV.

It was #ArnabGoswami who took on the Presidents. Exposing the alleged land scams of Pratibha Patil and remarks made by President's son on alleged rape victims.

#ArnabGoswami always had the verbosity, during the IIM students agitation he highlighted the remarks made by Chhagan Bhujbal and repeated his remarks in a loop on TV.

It is because of #ArnabGoswami, the scams of UPA are known to every common man.

In the absence of Arnab Goswami's aggressive coverage, the scams would have disappeared from people's memory if he had done soft news coverage like NDTV and Co.

The Hindu "Right Wing" may not like it - #ArnabGoswami was against Beef ban and questioned the authority of state to control food choices of people.

When Kerala decided to implement prohibition, it was #ArnabGoswami who questioned the moral and religious view of many left and right wing people who supported prohibition.

It was #ArnabGoswami who also gave platform to Anurag Kashyap when many questions were being raised on the actions by Pahlaj Nihalani at Central Board of Film Certification.

I doubt AAP would have come to power in Delhi if not for the coverage by #ArnabGoswami in Times Now.

A Lok Satta supporter friend of mine was so frustrated "If only we had half Arnab Goswami in Telugu media, Lok Satta would get good number of seats in GHMC elections".

The revolt against #ArnabGoswami started when questioned the corruption of journalists, when he talked about Radia Tapes and when he questioned why journalists are singing tunes of ISI agents like Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai.

People like @ShekharGupta & Lutyens gang also started to target #ArnabGoswami by calling Times Now as Fox News of India and some news anchors who were pure products of nepotism started calling him as "noise".

We have reached a point where so called journalists are now issuing certificates, on who is a journalist & why #ArnabGoswami isn't one. We are okay with it because establishment journalists have dipped him in the oil of "controversial" & "Right Wing" - we do not want to touch it.

Like everyone, #ArnabGoswami is a human and has his shortcomings and that is why he did not attack everyone aggressively - which can be seen in his respect for Vinod Mehta and admiration for Prannoy Roy.

Establishment hates #ArnabGoswami because he is successful without their help, actually he went against the mountain of Lutyens media, exposing them and stood on the cliff like Howard Roark without losing his individuality.

The establishment Lutyens media is making sure that corruption is made a foot note in the news bulletins and imaginary fascism propaganda is peddled on daily basis to serve their masters, it is #ArnabGoswami and @Repulbic who are on their way.

The internet class is also attacking #ArnabGoswami because, a guy who smokes Beedi should be ridiculed and a guy who smokes Cigarette is cool.

It is progressive to be against village stage dances and also support pub culture.

Having Bhang is cheap, but taking cocaine is class.

I rarely watch @Republic, that doesn't make me less responsible to point out the hypocrisy of the Lutyens media and all-round attack by everyone in media because #ArnabGoswami has dismantled their hegemony.

Hyenas of establishment Lutyens media are attacking a wounded Lion and part of the society is waiting like vultures to feed on the carcass.

Eventually it will be a loss to journalism and society if SILENCE is your choice. #ArnabGoswami
