1/ Seeing reports this morning that Trump is planning to "hold rallies focused on the litigation, and brandish obituaries of people who were recorded as voting but are dead" as advisers don't want to tell him that the race is over
2/ Going along with Trump's delusion about election fraud is incredibly anti-democratic and a huge disservice to the country and our people -- particularly as Biden works to unite us and tackle COVID and the winter surge. Lives are literally on the line
3/ Even Republican leaders who DID recognize President-Elect Biden included language in their releases or statements about Trump's right to contest in court -- even though he's managed to produce zero evidence of fraud.

They fed all into his bullshit.
4/ Trump barnstorming the country with allegations of fake election fraud will only further divide our country and make it much harder for Biden to govern and get things done -- which, of course, provides a political incentive for Republicans to go along with Trump's plans
5/ GOP will have a choice:

Abandon Trump and help the country heal and come together around COVID relief (and save lives)

Stay with Trump and continue to divide the country, undermine Biden's efforts to address COVID (and cost more American lives)

That's literally the choice

1/ Trump's extraordinary efforts to suppress the vote are part of his re-election strategy -- and they're absolutely maddening.

In Philly Trump campaign is videotaping voters as they return ballots

In NV, Trump is suing to force officials to more rigorously examine ballot
2/ In Ohio, Trump sued to prevent expanded use of ballot drop boxes

In NH, Trump sought to shoot down an attempt to expand absentee ballot access

In AZ, tried to prevent allowing ballots received from reservations after Election Day because of mail delays
3/ "Never before in modern presidential politics has a candidate been so reliant on wide-scale efforts to depress the vote as Trump." politico.com/news/2020/10/2…

1/ Today is the 2-year-anniversary of the anti-semitic shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill, PA.

This was the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the United States. The shooter killed 11 and wounded 6.
2/ Before the shooting, the shooter was spewing his anger on a right-wing social media platform, calling immigrants “invaders,” distributing racist memes and asserting that Jews were the “enemy of white people.”
3/ The shooter's anti-Semitic venom represents a growing trend of anti-Semitism

In 2019, 2,107 anti-Semitic incidents were reported in the US more than in any year since the @ADL began tracking 40 yrs ago

FBI says the number of such incidents rose 29% in 2018 from 2015

1/ I'm seeing headlines saying Trump "refused to condemn" QAnon at last night's @NBCNews town hall

But that's not exactly right.

Trump *legitimized* QAnon by saying he believes "very strongly" in one of its core tenets: fighting pedophilia

He knew *exactly what he was doing*
@NBCNews 2/ First some background: QAnon grew out of Pizzagate in 2017.

QAnon adherents believe Trump is battling a global network of evil elites, Democrats, celebrities who worship Satan and sacrifice children.

Trump is their God (which Trump proudly pointed out back in August)
@NBCNews 3/ Trump told @SavannahGuthrie, "they are very strongly against pedophilia. And I agree with that."

Asked if there's a Satanic pedophile cult Trump said, "I have no idea."

Trump isn't just refusing to condemn: **he is actively legitimizing QAnon & feeding the conspiracy **

1/ A sitting sheriff is defending the individuals who plotted to commit an act of domestic terrorism and kidnap Michigan governor @gretchenwhitmer

"I'm not even sure they had any part in it," he baselessly asserts, claiming that maybe have been executing a citizen's arrest
@gretchenwhitmer 2/ In May, Sheriff Dar Leaf appeared at a "American Patriot Rally-Sheriffs speak out" event in Grand Rapids, MI to protest @gretchenwhitmer's stay at home orders alongside some of the men now accused of domestic terrorism.

He says he doesn't regret sharing the stage with them.
@gretchenwhitmer 3/ Ironically while protesting @gretchenwhitmer's stay-at-home orders, he himself was, well, working from home....because, you know, he said he wanted to stay healthy: mlive.com/news/grand-rap…

1/ Just to state the absolute obvious:

When Donald Trump repeatedly dehumanizes his political opponents, he is inviting individuals to commit acts of violence and take his hateful rhetoric to its obvious conclusion.
2/ We are all very thankful that this effort to kidnap @gretchenwhitmer was thwarted by authorities.

But right-wing extremists inspired by Trump's rhetoric *have* committed acts of domestic terrorism across the country.
@gretchenwhitmer 3/ At least 87 Americans have been killed by right-wing terrorists in the first 3 years of the Trump administration.

Here's a partial list of the terror incidents that Trump's rhetoric inspired:
