Large Texas cities are not exactly mask free locations. I can count on one hand the number of folks without masks I’ve seen in the last few weeks on one hand.
The places I’ve seen where masks aren’t popular aren’t places where targets are located.
The city where I spent most of my youth is responsible for the greatest line in a movie ever: "I'm in Garland, Texas. And it may look like zombies destroyed it, but that's actually just Garland."
That gas station was unfortunately not actually in Texas but y’all stand at the Bobtown exit on I30 and tell me that’s not a dead ringer. Please meet me there for my press conference. The crematorium and the porn store aren’t even anywhere near by. Like 4 exits back.
Flashback to my favorite post inauguration article, written by @yashar: “Bush gave a brief assessment of Trump’s inaugural after leaving the dais: ‘That was some weird shit.’” nymag.com/intelligencer/…
I think about this article like once a week probably
Today’s hot take: Leslie knope was a terrible government employee who violated open meetings laws, misspent funds on personal projects and told voters what was best for them.
I will die on this hill do @ me
If you watch the show again with these things in mind you will be like “oh, taxpayers pay you.”
Media. Hi. Again, the FEC is a useless federal agency that governs campaign finance and has absolutely nothing to do with election administration. None of these people should be given space to opine just bc “election” is in the agency’s title.
There are not that many fed officials that do govern election admin for a reason: the federal government has almost nothing to do with it. @EACgov is the only relevant federal agency to any of this, and they don’t even dictate rules to states. They just advise on best practices.
Get state officials on your air or quoted in your pieces. Stop asking the FEC - they don’t do *anything* and they certainly don’t do this
