1)You are the Minister of Health and should know that Drs do not "perform" medical abortions, they prescribe them.
2)Any Dr willing to do so can prescribe medication abortion and it is completely covered by medicare in NB.

3) Unlike medication abortion, surgical abortions *are* "performed" and cannot be performed by any willing Dr. Even if they could be, they would not be covered by medicare.
4)There are not "multiple" sites for surgical abortion in NB, there are 3. 2 of them are in Moncton.

5) "Most" surgical procedures do *not* have to be performed in public hospitals to be covered by medicare. Many procedures are covered in private clinics or by reimbursement.
