The Electoral College will meet on 12/14 and award 306 electoral votes to @JoeBiden and 229 electoral votes to #LoserInChief @realDonaldTrump. Congress will meet in Joint Session on 01/06 to ratify @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris’ election and President and Vice-President.
Should some Republican State legislatures decide to take these shenanigans further, and send competing slates of electors, the Joint Session of Congress will not ratify the election on 01/06.
If that were ever to happen (it won’t), #LoserInChief @realDonaldTrump’ term will end on 01/20 per the 20th Amendment. @SpeakerPelosi, or whichever Democrat is elected Speaker of the House, will assume the Presidency on an acting basis per the 1947 Presidential Succession Act.
All this said: Elected @GOP officials who call themselves conservative with a small “c” or constitutionalists, should seriously reflect on their decision to enable this #TrumpTantrum. The United States 🇺🇸 risks becoming a laughing stock around the world for #71days.
