Our struggle is not for power. Our struggle to save and preserve statehood - Former head of NSS Artur Vanetsyan of Fatherland party
I don't know how much we can get back, but we'll get most of it back. My experience shows this - former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan

The protesters in Yerevan walk along Northern Avenue to the building of the Government of Armenia.

"We also held a rally during Serzh [ex-President Sargsyan.] Don't you dare raise clubs against the people, don't you dare!"
A police convoy heading to the parliament building. Same convoy passed right by me on Mashtots avenue.
Protesters on Republic Square, facing the building of the Government of Armenia.
I can hear protesters on Mashtots Avenue now making their way to Place de France, Baghramyan Avenue where the Presidential residence and parliament are.
Police vehicles rushing on Saryan street now, sirens on.

The deputies demand to cancel the trilateral agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh agreed by the three Presidents (AM, AZ, RU)
A smoke grenade or teargas came from the direction of the police. Not clear why. Looks like it blew up by mistake because the police look surprised too.
Protesters call it a provocation. Everything is calm now. Both police and protesters still there.
The grenade came from a volunteer fighter in military uniform who says he lost loved ones in the war. Everything is calm at the moment.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body taken into custody by the Armenian NSS from the party's building in Yerevan.
Pashinyan spox Gevorgyan: The PM informed the political forces [who are currently protesting] about the situation on the frontline/diplomatic level during their meetings. The protesting parties are causing tension for the sake of their narrow political and materialistic interests.
Worth mentioning that it has been an active day for the Armenian NSS today with opposition leaders grtting summoned there. And now this:
An opposition MP at the Armenian NSS building says there are a large number of politicials inside, which rules out the possibility to interrogate all of them at the same time. As MPs, they have the right to meet those inside the NSS building, but not sure will be allowed.
Wait, so could it be that these people are all inside because the NSS chief is in the hospital with a heart attack and the departments aren't fuctioning properly?
(says a friend)
The National Security Service of Armenia detained the former vice-speaker of the parliament Sharmazanov for 72 hours on charges of organizing an illegal meeting, his aide said.

MFA of Russia Sergey Lavrov: The Armenian opposition is trying to manipulate the topic of the agreements on Nagorno Karabakh - RIA
Lavrov: If it was possible to reach a diplomatic agreement on Nagorno- Karabakh sooner, the 5 regions would have been transferred to Azerbaijan, but only in a peaceful way.
Lavrov: The Russian-Turkish Monitoring Center for Karabakh will operate remotely using drones.
1. Signing this sad document, I knew that I was under threat not only politically, but also physically, but it was more important for me to save the lives of 25 thousand of our soldiers - Pashinyan
2. Why I resign in order not to sign this document? This would be desertion and an attempt to leave a difficult situation to another leader - Pashinyan
3. This document does not imply a meaningful solution to the Karabakh conflict. This document is about ending the war in Karabakh. The Karabakh conflict was not resolved then, and it is not resolved now - Pashinyan
1. Whoever sold the land, we sold it as nation, we betrayed our 18-20 year old soldiers - Arayik Harutyunyan
2. We left 18 year old soldiers alone, we left volunteer detachments - Arayik Harutyunyan
3. The politicians who are trying to find traitors today, let them present information about the participation of their children, their relatives. You cheated by taking "selfies" - Arayik Harutyunyan
Vitaly Balasanyan to Pashinyan: to say that Shushi fell because of Gagik Tsarukyan is to make fun of the army. It shows that you do not understand anything about war. Shushi was supposed to be defended by the army, and not by individuals and volunteers.
Seyran Ohanyan: The authorities must be held accountable for the defeat: it was not the army that lost, but the state, and a very bad document stands before the Armenian people. This is unambiguous, and the responsibility for this should be borne by the current government.
1/2 Retired Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan "Komandos": Don't to succumb to political provocations.
Today it is already clear that the fate of the country should not be decided by the parties, the fate of the country should be dealt with by --->
Important points from what Prime Minister of Armenia, Pashinyan said today:
1. This very painful decision on Karabakh allowed to preserve what could not be withheld as a result of the continuation of the war.
2. The logic of the [trilateral] agreement is not in the surrender of territories, but in the preservation of territories that could be preserved by that time - Pashinyan
3. We could have lost everything, but they kept what was possible. Stepanakert, Askeran, Martuni would have been captured. After their fall, our defensive areas and thousands of soldiers would be surrounded - Pashinyan
If that is the case, why didn't Armenia opt for such drones of Chinese origin which Serbia recently acquired.
They only cost 1/10 the price of one unit of Su-30SM which were recently bought, and not used in the latest war. Or in the best case, they had very limited usage.
Satellite photo published on October 9 (didn't want to share it at the time) showed Armenia's Su-30SM jets parked in a place where it's not usual. With the camo netting on top of them, it gave the impression that they were hidden from potential missiles strikes on the airbase.
The way they are parked doesn't leave the impression that they were regularly deployed.
