There has long been speculation about a so-called "Trump TV."

So now that he's leaving the White House, will he launch a cable network?

It would be hard in the current TV landscape, where consumers have shifted away from pay TV subscriptions. 

“There’s no way you can start a new network in this environment,” an expert said. A White House spokesperson declined to comment.

The L.A. County medical examiner announced a rare independent review of the death of an 18-year-old fatally shot by sheriff’s deputies in June

The coroner’s office released autopsy findings in July that showed Andres Guardado was shot in the back five times after he was chased by Sheriff’s Deputies Miguel Vega and Chris Hernandez in Gardena

The inquest is the first of its kind in nearly 30 years.

It will allow the coroner’s office to subpoena witnesses and present documents to an independent hearing officer who “will make findings related to the cause and manner of death."

FilmLA said it received 880 applications for film permits in October, up 24% from 711 permits in September, as major studios returned to filming television latimes.com/entertainment-…
The nonprofit handles film permits in Los Angeles city and county. It says it is averaging about 40 new permit requests per day, although that remains 47% below prepandemic levels.

Trump isn't getting a second term. So can he self-pardon?

Here's what would happen:

First, Trump would have to issue himself a pardon.

Then, Biden and his attorney general would have to decide to prosecute Trump.

Then, a federal indictment would send the matter to SCOTUS.
