Must win.

Your @NYDNSports three keys to victory for the Giants

nydailynews.com/sports/footbal…
Dion Lewis brings the kickoff out of the end zone and is tackled at the 15 yard line. Giants offense with a long way to go to start.
Daniel Jones doesn't throw the ball and is sacked on first down. Garrett had guys running hitches inside. Nothing open.
Play action on 2nd and 15, Jones completes to Darius Slayton for the first down. But Slayton immediately goes off. He is hurt.
Nick Gates finishing hard on that 6 yard run from Wayne Gallman. Darius Slayton remains out. Golden Tate now in with Board and Shepard
WAYNE GALLMAN up the gut for 17 yards. Next play Daniel Jones makes a dangerous decision and fires the ball at Gallman like 2 yards away. Lucky that didn't pop up for a pick
Darius Slayton STILL not back in with the offense. Will wait for an update from Giants. He got hurt on his catch earlier in the drive.
Eagles jump on 3rd and 8. Giants have 3rd and 3 now at the Eagles' 38 yard line.
shovel pass to Evan Engram gains the first down
Daniel Jones keeps the ball on a read option and sprints to the end zone for a 34-yard touchdown. Great blocking by Kaden Smith and Austin Mack on the outside. Jones doesn't fall this time and gets in!

Giants 7, Eagles 0

Drive: 8 plays, 85 yards, 3:49
C.J. Board also blocking downfield to help Jones finish into end zone untouched.
Carson Wentz throws high for an open Alshon Jeffrey downfield
Giants receiver Darius Slayton is questionable to return with a shoulder injury, Giants say.
Leonard Williams QB hit on Carson Wentz, who throws high an incomplete for a bobbling Dallas Goedert
Eagles go for it on 4th and 1 at their own 47 and get it on a WR screen to Jalen Reagor. 10 yard gain.

On next play, Isaac Yiadom tells official to throw a flag on Reagor for flinching, and the ref throws it. False start. 1st and 15
The refs just stopped the game to take Dallas Goedert off the field and into the medical tent. Presumably spotted as a potential concussion that needs to be checked out.
Carson Wentz pump fakes/hesitates and gives Bradberry time to get through a pick and bat down Wentz's third down pass.

Elliott kicks the FG.

Giants 7, Eagles 3, 6:27 left in 1st Q

Drive: 12 plays, 53 yards, 4:44
Darius Slayton remains sidelined as Giants start their second drive. Wayne Gallman back on at RB to start the second offensive series. Giants rolling with two TEs: Kaden Smith and Evan Engram. two WRs: Sterling Shepard and Austin Mack
Golden Tate subs for Smith in their 11 personnel package on 2nd and 8.

O line same this drive as first drive

Jones threads the needle to Austin Mack facing a blitz on 2nd and 8. Nice throw and catch
Giants go empty on third and 2. Darius Slay gives Sterling Shepard a huge cushion. Easy completion for Jones for the 1st.
Eagles defense playing like garbage right now. Another encroachment penalty. Giants offense 1st and 5 at the 25. Alfred Morrirs in at RB with Eli Penny at FB
Morris back to back carries has Giants inside the 15. Darius Slayton is back on the field, too. Good sign for Giants
Daniel Jones with two straight keepers for nine yards, gets popped on both but gets down and doesn't fumble. Good offense.
Giants hand to Eli Penny on 3rd and 1 at the two but they get stuffed on the left side. End of 1st quarter. Let's see what Judge decides here. 4th and 1 at the 2. Judge should go for this. But will he?
Giants are going for this. Daniel Jones ran back to Jason Garrett to talk about the play call.
Giants showed a WR heavy personnel package, but now sub in a bigger set with three TEs, Penny and Gallman. They give to Gallman, and he dives over the pile for the touchdown.

Giants taking a commanding 14-3 lead here. Consecutive TD drives to open the game. Who are these guys?
Giants TD drive: 13, 75 yards, 6:30 elapsed

Giants 14, Eagles 3 - 14:57 left in 2nd Q

In the biggest game the Giants have played in years, Joe Judge's team is more than ready. They are dominating it early.
Carson Wentz rattles off consecutive completions to TE Richard Rodgers for 22 and 19 yards and Philly is quickly into Giants territory.
Carson Wentz trips on 3rd and 5 and Eagles are going to have to punt. Jabrill Peppers back to receive
Anyone have the clip of the FOX broadcast referencing their conversation with Dave Gettleman?
Matt Peart in for Cam Fleming at right tackle to start this drive.
Matt Peart beaten on third down for a QB hit on Daniel Jones. Giants have to punt. Jalen Reagor with a bad decision to let that Riley Dixon punt go. Giants pin Eagles at their own 6. The Eagles again look like a bad team early in this game. They are so, so sloppy.
Recently-signed off practice squad Montre Hartage in at free safety for the Giants defense to start this drive.
Greg Ward and Jabrill Peppers yapping after that play.

Giants are doing disguises in the back with Ryan and Hartage as two deep safeties showing cover-2 then rotating into cover-1
Another Eagles penalty backs them up to their own 5. 2nd and 11. Wow. Philly is sloppy.
Giants could have declined that penalty and given Eagles 3rd and 5/6. Either way, Wentz hits Reagor for a first down 15 yard gain over Darnay Holmes' head.
Carson Wentz spinning like a top there facing the blitz. Could have completed a pass if he hadn't spun backwards.
Wentz looks jumpy again, flips to Sanders for minimal gain.
B.J. Hill jumps offsides on 3rd and 9.

B.J. Hill not on field anymore. Joe Judge has some words for him as he takes him out.
Don't think that should be a flag on Giants. Pass uncatchable.
That is a bad call. Darnay Holmes and Ward both made contact with each other.Ward actually pushed off first. Ball also was uncatchable. Bad call.
Jabrill Peppers with an excellent run stop on Miles Sanders there. Eagles now at 3rd and 11. Wentz goes deep to Fulgham, who is jogging his route down the sideline, like he doesn't expect the ball. Incomplete. Good coverage by Isaac Yiadom, too.
Eagles nicely pin the Giants offense down at their own 2-yard line.

Giants up 14-3 with 6:13 left in the first half.
INTERESTING STAT: Giants opened this game with consecutive offensive TDs on 1st two drives for the first time since Week 16 of last season at Washington (3 TDs).

Also the last time they opened with two straight TD drives of 75 yards or more. Did it without Saquon this time, too.
Really nice play call by Jason Garrett and throw by Daniel Jones to Dion Lewis for gain of 17 on 3rd and 5 to dig Giants out of own end zone and keep drive going.

Cam Fleming back in for Peart at RT on this drive.
The Giants are going to run the ball a lot on this drive to try to wind the clock down so Eagles don't have time to answer on offense after. A common strategy of Judge's and Garrett's this season to protect a defense that has struggled in two-minute.
Daniel Jones throws the ball below the sticks on third and 5. It's now 4th and 1 at the Eagles' 44. Giants offense staying on the field for now. Have to think they're just trying to make Philly jump. But we'll see.
Former Lions teammates Golden Tate and Darius Slay having a chat as Giants try to draw Eagles offsides but ultimately take delay of game penalty. Giants punt.

Eagles with the ball and 1:07 remaining and two timeouts. Eagles also get the ball coming out of halftime. Big drive
Eagles start at their own 11 yard line. Wentz opens with an easy pass to Miles Sanders that they can't complete. They so sloppy. It's crazy.
Carson Wentz now fumbles a snap on 2nd down. Judge uses his 1st timeout! Putting faith in his D to get this 3rd and 9 stop with 57 seconds to play and give his offense the ball back.
The Eagles are pathetic right now. They are lucky this game isn't in Philly. They'd be booed going into halftime (again).
False start on Travis Fulgham on 3rd and 9.

I thought the Eagles would be better several weeks later than their last Giants game, when Philly looked like a team that doesn't practice.

Seems I was wrong!
Julian Love fortunate that Reagor clearly didn't know where that ball was and had no chance at it, because he tackled him while the ball was still in the air.

Giants D forces the punt. Peppers with a nice little return. Giants ball 1st and 10 at Eagles' 43 yard line. 40 secs
Golden Tate makes his first catch of the game. Next play, Jones tries to thread needle to Tate and throws high. Ball falls off his hand incomplete.
Dion Lewis called for holding backs Giant sup from the 37 to the 47. Killer penalty. Out of field goal range. Nine seconds left. 3rd and 14
Daniel Jones puts ball up for grabs, hits Robey-Coleman in the face, but he can't catch the INT. Incomplete. 4th and 14. Four seconds left.
Fletcher Cox sack sends the game into halftime Giants 14, Eagles 3.

Judge will be pleased the defense got his offense the ball back, disappointed they didn't capitalize, but encouraged by the whole team's start.

Pederson needs to run a practice in the visitors' locker room.
Boston Scott goes 56 yards for the Eagles touchdown to open the second half. Leonard Williams, Blake Martinez, James Bradberry all sealed at the point of attack to create the hole.

Looked like he stepped out as Logan Ryan chased. But play is reviewed and upheld.
Miles Sanders scores on a two-point conversion run.

Eagles TD drive: 5 plays, 84 yards, 2:29 elapsed

Giants 14, Eagles 11 with 12:31 to play in 3rd quarter
Sterling Shepard gets a great release and Daniel Jones hits Shepard with a nice pass for a 27-yard gain. Then Jones goes up to Golden Tate up the other sideline for 38 yards. Tate with a great catch in tight coverage.

1st and goal from the 10.
Wayne Gallman with a his second touchdown of the game.

Enormous answer from Daniel Jones and the Giants offense. Exactly the kind of drive they needed in that spot to win this game.

6 plays, 75 yards, 2:42 elapsed

Giants 21 Eagles 11
Carson Wentz and Daniel Jones entered this game 1 and 2 in turnovers in the NFL. But midway through the 3rd quarter, neither offense has given the ball away. No turnovers yet in this game.

Meanwhile, bad snap to Hurts still leads to an 11-yard run by Miles Sanders here.
Eagles use a timeout with 7:47 left in the 3rd quarter on 1st and 10. Philly so sloppy.
Carson Wentz completes a high degree of difficulty pass to Greg Ward for 16 yards. Eagles inside the red zone.

Giants D is going to have to force turnovers this half. Otherwise, Daniel Jones & offense will have to keep answering.
STOP WITH THESE REVIEWS! PLAY THE GAME!
Play stands as called. Time does not stand still, however. Minutes wasted lol
Eagles go for two again. Leonard Williams and Dalvin Tomlinson split a sack of Carson Wentz. Looked like Eagles called a fade there. Not great, Bob.

So Giants lead 21-17 with 5:20 left in 3rd quarter.

Eagles 8 plays, 75 yards, 4:29
Daniel Jones gets good protection but no one is open on 1st down. Sacked for a loss of 8. Could have thrown it away.
Jones hits Gallman for 7 yards. GAllman takes two big hits but still picks up some yards. 3rd and 11. Dangerous down here.
Jones 10 yard scramble. 4th and 1 at the Giants' own 32 yard line. Offense lines up and tries to draw the D offsides. Doesn't work. Giants punt.
Judge takes the delay penalty, counting on Riley Dixon to get it back on the punt. Dixon pretty much does. Eagles fair catch at their own 17.
Dexter Lawrence yapping at Carson Wentz for a while after flushing him out of the pocket for an incompletion
Jalen Hurts comes in for a gain of -1, spelling Carson Wentz, who has driven the Eagles to consecutive TDs to open this half lol
Anytime you can take Carson Wentz out of the quarterback position to waste a play call, you have to do it #Eagles
Matt Peart in at right tackle on this drive, his second drive of the game.

Will Hernandez still hasn't played an offensive snap today.
Fletcher Cox already has been in and out for Eagles today. The DT was barely able to get off the field after that last play to end the 3rd quarter.

Going to the 4th:

Giants 21, Eagles 17
Slay blankets Darius Slayton for an incompletion. Daniel Jones took a hit.

Morris goes for a 6 yard run outside behind Gates and Smith, though.

3rd and 4 from Giants' own 47
BAD drop by Darius Slayton on 3rd down. Golden Tate came across formation to fake a WR handoff but looked like he did it too late. Threw off Jones in the pocket. Still made the throw though and Slayton dropped it.

Giants punt. Dixon knuckles it, throws off Ward. Downed at the 5.
Miles Sanders going kinda LeSean McCoy with the ball there. He'd better be careful. Sanders gaining huge chunk yards though almost every time he touches the ball.
Trent Harris with a sack for the Giants. Another bad or mishandled snap from the Eagles.
The Eagles run the ball on 3rd and 18 from their own 10 yard line. Eagles punting. Wentz pissed.
Solid 21 yard punt return from Jabrill Peppers to get ball to the Eagles' 41 yard line. Eagles gunner Rudy Ford came up lame at the perfect time to give Peppers space to burst and cut.

Giants will take it.

Great starting field position, up 21-17 with 11:02 to play
Another Eagles penalty. Holding on T.J. Edwards that cancels out a sack of Daniel Jones. Edwards grabbed Sterling Shepard.
Darius Slayton does get separation there from Slay, beats him inside for a completion inside the red zone. 16 yards there.
Hands to the face on the Eagles.

TEN! penalties on the Eagles today.

10!
Daniel Jones scores on another rushing TD. But Andrew Thomas is called for holding, and the score comes back at the 856 mark
Kevin Zeitler is out of the game.

Will Hernandez is in at left guard. Shane Lemieux moves to right guard.

Zeitler goes into the locker room. He is shaken up, shaking his head.
Graham Gano kicks a 35-yard FG.

Giants lead 24-17 with 7:45 to play.

Can they close it out?
Leonard Williams with an enormous and ill-advised roughing the QB penalty there on Carson Wentz. He probably thought Wentz still had the ball. That's a tough play, admittedly. But costly nonetheless.
Going to keep saying this: there have been NO TURNOVERS in this game yet. Wentz entered 1st in the entire NFL (16). Jones second (13). Still no giveaways.
Miles Sanders drops an easy pass here. So it's 3rd and 10 Eagles on the 36. Here is the Cam Brown-Carter Coughlin pass rush third down package
Fulgham can't hold on to a Wentz pass that tried to thread the needle to his back shoulder.

4th and 10 at the Giants' 36 with 4:56 to play, Giants up 7....

James Bradberry has blanket coverage on Reagor and it's incomplete. Giants ball
Technically the first turnover of the game. Turnover on downs.
What a catch by Darius Slayton. Jason Garrett goes for it and Daniel Jones takes the shot. Gives Slayton a shot. Slayton finds the ball in the air and Darius Slay doesn't. 40 yard gain down to the Eagles' 25.
Graham Gano is good from 44 yards.

Giants lead 27-17 with 3:06 to play.

Eagles are out of timeouts.

........

They gonna do this?
Think that's Miles Sanders' third drop today, if not his fourth. Eagles RB can't hold on to the ball.
Dexter Lawrence sacks Carson Wentz.

It's 4th and 16 at the Eagles' 31. The ball game can be won right here.
Giants make the fourth down stop. That'll do it.

The Giants are going to beat the Philadelphia Eagles.
Giants defense has held the Eagles offense to 0-for-9 on third downs today.

That's zero third down conversions.

All game.
Kevin Zeitler has a concussion, as it appeared.
Eagles getting chippy. Shane Lemieux up for a scrum if Eagles want it! Lol

BREAKING: William Dean, attorney for three of DeAndre Baker's four alleged victims, has been arrested in Broward County (Fla.) and is facing an "extortion charge" connected to the armed robbery case involving Baker and Quinton Dunbar. Image
This casts doubt about whether the case against ex-Giant DeAndre Baker will continue. Investigators say Dean was attempting to extort Baker, wanted Baker to pay each of his clients more than $266,000, and, in exchange, the victims in the case would oblige in turn ...
Vics would either stop cooperating with prosecutors in the case or change their initial sworn statements to police, thereby weakening the case against Baker. Evidence reveals Dean told Baker’s attorney his clients would do “anything you want, so long as the money is right.”

Giants inactives today are WR Dante Pettis, LB T.J. Brunson, OL Kyle Murphy, OT Jackson Barton and DL R.J. McIntosh.

So Golden Tate and Isaac Yiadom are both in the lineup after being questionable today. Will Hernandez returns (not expected to start).

#Giants #Eagles
Former Eagles 2nd round pick WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside among today's inactives for Philly.
A couple Giants insights:

- Team turnover is constant. On special teams, CB Corey Ballentine played 15 snaps last week & LB T.J. Brunson logged 12. Ballentine was released; Brunson is inactive.

- On O-line, Judge intends to rotate 3 offensive tackles & three guards thru game.
