Staying home saves lives and everyone should just stay home.

Except for the DoorDash lady who delivers my dinner that was cooked by people who work at the restaurant.

And the grocery delivery driver who brings me the groceries that were stocked by the grocery worker.
And the Amazon worker who packed the stuff I bought. And the UPS driver who delivered it.

And the brewer who made the beer I'm drinking. And the trucker who brought the beer to the store.

And the football players who are playing in the game I'm watching.
And the linemen who fixed my power lines so my power came back on.

And the plumber who fixed the sink that was backed up.

And the cast & crew on this new Netflix show I'm watching.

And the people who work at the water treatment plant making sure my water is clean.
And the people in the factory who made these shoes I just bought.

And the longshoremen who picked the container that had my shoes off of the ship and put it on a train that ended up on a truck that made it to a warehouse and then somehow magically appeared on my doorstep.
And the daycare workers who are watching my kids so I can finally get some work done.

When I said "staying home saves lives" it turns out I actually meant "me staying home saves my life."

So (as usual) today's @CltLedger is brilliant, offering an exposition as to what's going on with @CharMeckSchools and @CMSSupt's inability to open middle schools due to what (they claim) is a lack of available bus drivers.

Let's discuss, shall we? (1/12) Image
There are only two explanations for why the country's 15th largest district, in a city of 1.1 million people, doesn't have enough bus drivers available: Incompetence, or something more sinister. (2/12)
My school board member assures me that nothing nefarious is at play, so we shall assume the former. (3/12)
