things are heating up in Miss Universe Mexico and I will tell you everything. Long thread ahead

as some of you may know, i'm a sucker for pageants. I like them and I love the drama within, so I'll start where all stories begin: some backstory

In Mexico, before 1994, the main pageant was "Señorita México" (Miss Mexico). It was known that the administration wasn't good, as a lot of the girls had to "train themselves" with 0 support of the org, so they werent that well prepared before Miss Universe with a few exceptions

in 1994, Lupita Jones, Mexico's first Miss Universe (1991), bought Miss Mexico organization and turned it to "Nuestra Belleza México" (Our Beauty Mexico), where the Mexican representative for Miss Universe would be chosen

but drama is always present.
Lupita soon was making the same mistakes as the previous Miss Mex. owner, Carlos Guerrero.
NBM 1994 was heavily booed on her winning night, and didn't classified in MU 1995 due to poor preparation. Mexico wouldn't classify until 1996, but didn't win.

Due to the inconsistency(?) of the placements, people were wondering if Lupita was actually doing her job or just pretending to do so. Some people working for her said that she "wanted to be the ONLY mexican Miss Universe", to which she didn't said anything

between 1994-2009, a lot of girls complained about Lupita's lack of support, and lupita had her rivalry with some of them, where I can say NBM 1999, 2000 and 2001, making them lose their sponsors with a shampoo line here in Mexico (Herbal Essences)

Then 2010 came, and Mexico won Miss Universe after 19 years with the tapatía Ximena Navarrete. Jones cried, of course, but her behavior continued. After the winning, she didn't let Ximena's designer go into the room to congratulate Ximena because "he wasn't known enough"

after ximena crowned in 2011, it was known that she had to PREPARE HERSELF due to the lack of financial support from the NBM organisation, also how Lupita often tried to change everything Ximena wanted and do it her way. (Ex, she wanted Xime to wear a blue dress against her will)

In 2011, Cinthya de la Vega was supposed to represent Mexico in Miss World, but was fired due to "lack of compromise", but Cynthia claimed she was bodyshamed by Lupita all the time, training until exhaustion and fired for no reason

Josselyn Garciglia, NBM 2013 also demanded that Lupita didn't supported her the way she should've done, but Lupita brushed it off as always. A lot of the girls claimed the same, but it all hit the fan in 2017

Denisse Franco, NBM 2017, was crowned at the age of 19, being one of the youngest crowned in the history of NBM and Miss Mexico. She didn't placed in MU 2017, and said that the one to blame was Lupita, as she left all the preparation to her with no financial support

it got to one point where, when told to go to mexico city for something, she couldn't because she had no money left. This was ruled by Lupita as "childish behavior". The fans said Franco was being immature, and that she was the one to blame for everything, as she was "naive"

In the meanwhile, Lupita got separated from Televisa and had to change to TV Azteca, changing the name of Nuestra Belleza Mexico to Mexicana Universal (Universal Mexican). Denisse was crowned Mexicana Universal 2017 before Miss Universe

Lupita also lost the Miss World partnership (?) and was left with three pageants only: Miss Universe, Miss International and Reina Hispana. Miss World went to another org now called Miss Mexico Organización

Denisse stood far from the org, and didn't crowned her successor, Andrea Toscano, in 2018. Andrea was crowned by Lupita due to her (Lupita's) animosity with Franco.

Andrea didn't classify in MU 2018, and people began to be suspicious. Why is it that Mexico isn't classifying in the pageants given to Lupita, but in less than two years the other org already has a first runner up AND a Miss World (2018)?

That and the terrible dress given to Andrea Toscano in the preliminary competition of MU2018 brought the eyes to lupita, again questioning: wtf are you doing with the girls?
and yes, the dress is UGLY FOR A PAGEANT

In 2019, our current queen, Sofía Aragón, was crowned. And here is where things get interesting.

Her preparation was silent, nobody knew a lot of what she was doing, but she got criticised a lot for wearing the same boots, people called her ugly, and there was something going on behind the camera, but in MU 2019 she did the unthinkable: 2nd runner up. Only behind PR and SA

KEEP IN MIND MU 2019 WAS IN DECEMBER 2019!!!

After every MU, there usually is a pic of Lupita with her girls, but this year there was only a selfie. Something was wrong, and in the following months, something happened between Jones and Aragón

In the months after MU, Jones blocked Aragón in her Instagram and Sofía started working with TV Azteca with her own contract. Covid came, and with it more drama

In July, congresswomen tried to ban pageants, claiming they were "symbolic violence" against women. A lot of beauty and ex beauty queens activelt participated against the reform, but Vanessa Ponce and Sofía remained quiet.

Vanessa, due to her contract with Miss World, can't give an opinion in political matters.
but, what about sofía? why did she didn't said anything? did the mental health advocate forgot the empowerment? no one knew... until today

Lupita had a fight with TV AZTECA, and ended up leaving. now she had to find another platform to show MxU 2020, choosing VIMEO to do so. But there was no signs of Sofía anywhere

MxU 2020 began earlier this november, but Sofía was nowhere to be seen. Some people thought that she wouldn't be crowning her successor, or that the contract with TV Azteca wouldn't let her, but oh boy, WERE WE WRONG

Lupita in a live once said there wasnt a problem with her having sofia crowning, that it was up to tv azteca to decide. Then a few days ago she said sofía was not crowning at all due to reasons, and yesterday sofía uploaded a post saying she was going to say HER VERSION IN A LIVE

The live was due to 9:00 pm in central mexico, where Sofía currently lives. But coincidentally, ALL 31 GIRLS FROM MXU 2020 BEGAN DOING LIVES AT THAT HOUR AT THE SAME TIME. ALL OF THEM

This raised eyebrows, even to me that wasn't really planning watching the live but now that this was definetly orchestrated by Lupita I was wondering: What could Sofía say that Lupita is scared of?

I didn't watched the live from the very beginning as I was watching miss universe colombia (a disrespect, complete disrespect and tramoya in all the glory) but watching the repetition of the live, Sofía went IN, EXPOSING Lupita with everything

In the list given by Sofía we have:
-Lupita didn't gave her financial support at all, even quoting Lupita saying: "there's no money for you" claiming that she never received any of the prizes she was supposed to be given after winning.

-She got the financial support from a friend of hers with an escrow from Guadalajara. The money was used by Lupita to finance the NYFW trip programmed for a woman named Rubí. Rubí was Miss Sinaloa, who won a runway challenge in MxU 19' and the NYFW was her prize for winning.

-When she told Lupita about the opportunity of being a conductor in The Voice México, Lupita blocked her in all social media
-Lupita never gave Sofia money, not even for the doctor whom she need as she suffers from endometryosis and quoting Ms. Jones "There's no money for you"

-The organization is talking sh** about Sofía with the current MxU 2020 contestants, telling them "You will decide if you want to be a Kristal (NBM 2016, close friend with Lupita) or a Sofía".

Also, remember the congresswomen I told you about? well

-Lupita only contacted Sofía in July after months of not speaking to her, telling her to participate in an upcoming debate about the matter, and Sofía didn't participate because she suffered symbolic violence during her preparation for MU, so it would be kind of hypocritical +

of her to do that, at least next to Lupita

-Lupita technically decrowned her so she wont be crowning the next MxU. We thought she wouldnt because of the contract she has w TVAZTECA, it ended up that TVAZTECA had no problem with Sofía crowning. So either Lupita will crown the next or Claudia Lozano, MxU2019 1RU will do it

Several beauty queens, retired or active in other countries, have expressed their support to Aragón. Lupita hasn't made comments, but sometimes actions are louder than words.

will this scandal go to MU's headquarters? will lupita jones be finally removed? No one knows, but everyone is waiting, watching...

Is this the final straw, or just another scandal to the list?

THREAD REOPENED: LUPITA IS MAKING A FOOL OF HERSELF AGAIN! I'LL UPDATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Lupita did a live that lasted about an hour, in an "empowerment talk" with the 31 girls in the competition, but it soon turned into a trashtalk about Sofía.

Jones did very nasty comments about Aragón, starting with... Sofía wasn't the winner until the last night! Why is she sharing this? who knows. She claims the production wanted Lozano to win MxU 2019 but the judges ended up choosing Aragón and production told Lozano later about it

Why I don't believe this? well, because if that had been true, Lozano would've got one of the newest crowns in MxU, MxU Charm instead of Yuridia Durán, MxInternational who is having TWO crowns at the same time (MI, MC)

She "depressed shame" sofía, who has been open about her experience with the illness since the beginning. She said "no one liked her" and "it was bad because she didn't bathe". Also that she said sofía "faked" her recovery and was a manipulator and calculator person

shamed her on her body works! Lupita payed to have sofía a nose job, her teeth fixed and a lipo, but now she is shaming it, calling her "ugly" before every surgery she went through

the most remarkable thing she did today was openly blackmail the candidates, telling them "I know where you all come from, I know who you are. I know who is the drug addict, who is the alcoholic..." and her lawyer/boyfriend continued with "...who is the whore"+

Jones continued with "I can speak about anyone in here, but I don't because I look prettier with my mouth shut"

After that, a lot of the candidates spoke in favor of Jones (obviously) and the shockers were: Jalisco and Nuevo León. Jalisco because she was Sofías "friend"+

+as they participated in the past and although they had bad blood from part of Sosa (Jalisco), they seemed to be in good terms until now Sosa is with Jones.

Nuevo León said "If you know it was wrong why did you didn't spoke about it before?" and we all know how that sounds like

Jones also said that everything Sofia is now is because of her, as she helped her gain her ted talks and made sofía's book public.

Jones' declarations completely BACKFIRED with the fans, who were already mad with Jones due to Sofia's declarations and now are angrier that a woman who claims to empower is shaming others by how they live and their struggles

Sofía Aragón and Nebai Torres (Mexicana International) did a short live today where Nebai talked again about her coronation as MxI, where she dropped a bomb: Lupita sells crowns

A little obvious, as it happens a lot in the pageant world, but when you claim transparency in your pageant and everything is cool but you crown MxI months after the MxU coronation to see who offers more...

Nebai said that the MxI crown is mostly sold, but that she DIDN'T bought it because she didn't had the money to do so and gained it with her hardwork. It is known in the org that the most selled crown isnt to go to Miss Universe, but Miss International

This takes us to a gossip that was only that: a gossip. It was said that Colima's government payed A LOT of money to send Andrea Toscano to Miss I, paying ALL of the expenses, having in return a turistic campaign involving Andrea

Also takes us to congresswoman Geraldine Ponce, who went to Miss I in 2016. Did she bought the crown too? Could she had bought Yuridia's crowns in the name of the state of Nayarit?
