The Director-General, OEQA, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, speaking at the training programme held recently at the Lagos State Education Resource Centre, stated that the training was a continuation of the Zoom meeting held earlier on safe school reopening for over 400 evaluators.
She noted that the essence of the training is to help support schools, especially on safe reopening during this pandemic period.

According to her, evaluators are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that schools continuously sensitise students, teachers and parents on the need to diligently comply with the Federal and the Lagos State COVID-19 stipulated safety protocols during school hours.

The Director-General revealed that the deadline for the school reopening registration process, which was initially slated to end on the 5th of November has now been postponed to the 23rd of November, 2020.

LASG has announced a partial closure of the service lane inbound Maryland from the end of Gani Fawehinmi Park to the end of the Second Pedestrian Bridge, Ojota from Tuesday, November 17, 2020, for a period of six weeks in continuation of the reconstruction along Ikorodu Road.
A release signed by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, stated that the partial closure is to allow the contractor handling the stretch of the project from Ojota to Maryland to continue with the next phase of the construction works.

He explained that with the partial closure, motorists coming from Ikeja axis are advised to use 7Up road through Billings Way to link Oregun/Kudirat Abiola Way inbound Ikorodu road by Ojota bus stop.
