It is the cocktail of agricultural chemicals that have been in use for decades that has been causing a sharp increase in rates of diseases that are largely the result of exposure to health-damaging agrochemicals, herbicides, and other ripening chemicals!
RT
The systematic denial of harms, aggressive, unethical marketing tactics by the global corporations that manufacture pesticides and heavy lobbying of governments has obstructed reforms and paralyzed global pesticide restrictions.
The agribusiness corporations put profit and market control ahead of food security, health and nutrition and biodiversity.
Due to their political influence and financial clout, these companies are waging chemical warfare on us and nature, while seeking to convince us that their model of agriculture – based on proprietary seeds and chemicals – is essential for feeding a burgeoning global population.
The periods of embryonic, foetal & infant development are susceptible to environmental hazards. Toxic exposures to chemical pollutants during these windows of increased susceptibility can cause disease and disability in infants, children & the entire span of human life.
How do these companies get to keep poisoning us?
By capturing regulatory agencies, corrupting public officials, bribing scientists, and engaging in scientific fraud!
The reality of the agrochemical industry is masked by well-funded public relations machinery. The industry subverts official agencies and regulatory bodies and supports prolific lobby organizations and (‘public scientists’) which masquerade as neutral institutions.

Nairobi’s Garden City Mall set up a Sh207.8 million solar carport to generate 1,256 megawatt hours annually from the 3,300 solar panels installed on the topmost car park shade, projecting that this would help it cut power bills by about Sh31.6 million annually.
London Distillers Ltd also installed 1 MWp roof solar system in Athi River, helping it offset the need for grid energy and save at least Sh18.4 million annually over the system lifespan of 25 years.
Williamson Tea likewise cut the ribbon on a 1MW solar farm in Changoi, saying it would help cut its energy bills by nearly one third.
Yesterday @wmnjoya was talking about Syokimau - Prophetess Syokimau.
I didn't know Syokimau was a person. Now I know.
History Short Thread! 👇
Syokimau: The Story of a Great Kamba Prophetess and Medicine Woman.
Syokimau was a Kamba medicine woman and prophetess who lived in the 1800s long before Kenya became a colony.
She was born and lived in Iveti Hills near today's Machakos town.
Syokimau is credited as the greatest prophetess among the Kamba people because she foretold the ...
... coming of the white men and the construction of the railway line.
In her vision, she saw a long snake belching fire and smoke as to moved from waters to other waters.
(the Indian Ocean to Lake Victoria - suppose, correct me)
