Attractions in the US are experiencing 20-30% of visitation compared to normal, we're seeing a clear correlation between declining visitation and rising COVID-19 cases. The rate of recovery is slow but cyclic - e.g. visitation is higher on the weekends. #IAAPAExpo #VEC2020
John @AquariumPacific reopened with a safety first approach, being conservative with the allotment of tickets and slowly increasing it after knowing they could keep visitors safe. GA attendance is recovering well, some days even performed better than in 2019. #IAAPAExpo #VEC2020

The museum released tickets every Monday at 10AM for the following week. Because @ngadc is free, attrition (no shows) became an important metric. Ticket data is tracked every day to understand demand including tickets sold, redemptions, walk ups etc. #IAAPAExpo #VEC2020
Exit surveys surfaced visitor concerns about social distancing in smaller gallery spaces - data and analytics pivoted to solve these concerns. Entry and exit counts released the tension within the limited space to enrich the visitor experience. #IAAPAExpo #VEC2020
Top tip from Linda: Keeping dashboards simple but showing valuable insights and data is key. Having data readily available means that staff are able to make decisions quickly. Trends inform strategy over time and e.g. hourly visitation shows whether to release more tickets.
