My ancestor, John Neil McCollum, was in a religious uprising in Scotland in 1685. He was captured, imprisoned, tried, and sentenced to be transported to New Jersey to work as an Indentured Servant on the King's Plantation. ImageImage
He was a founding member of the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church. He died in 1760 at the age of 103 and was buried under this great white oak tree at this church.
