credit where credit is due, Wade spends a few paragraphs feeling sad about his family getting blown up in the first book, probably because people like me were like "wow he did not seem very upset about the fact that his family got blown up in the first book"

I honest to god cannot tell which parts of this book are ominous foreshadowing and which parts are just fun worldbuilding lore
