If anyone is alone today and feeling lonely, you are invited to my Thanksgiving dinner. I made lemon & rosemary turkey. Tell me your hair & eye color & what you’re bringing, & I’ll draw you in.
Sorry I’m a slow drawer, but I’m so glad so many of you can come! @simplyjennifer and Ken have already sat down.
@StoneKamino, your pecan pie looks more like a mushroom pizza, but I’m sure it’s delicious. :) Welcome!
@kathlloyd0, the desser looks scrumptious!! Welcome! (Sorry you’re face is a little smudged.)
Welcome, @lisahearing!! Your hair and orange jello salad add a lot of color to our table!
@kyliejustine and @HobbesGrrrl are here!!! Don’t worry, there are more seats in the other room — this is just where we’re gathering for the group photo with the spread.
@soulrebelJ, your Mac & cheese looks amazing despite my poor drawing skills! Welcome!
.@birdie1974 Welcome! And for all in the back, you are just as much a part of the gang, don’t worry. Also you do have arms and we all do you have legs but I was afraid it would look too much like a spider if I just drew all the black Stick Figure legs sticking out. :)
Welcome, @MaryWat24564904, @Papillon124, @LaurenJonik, and @AlexaSandin!! Great to see you here. (Some of the food is going on the off-screen table at this point.)
Welcome to everyone who's still rolling in! I wish I could draw all of you beautiful people. But even though the drawing is done, the feast is still going strong, so pull up a chair and grab a plate!
Twitter won’t let me like any more of your posts, but you’re all still in! Everybody’s in! Have some pie!
Okay, everyone else keep hanging out, I’m just gonna go take a nap in my bed under all your coats. Goodnight, everyone!
GOOD MORNING! You are all still in my house, huh? Okay, I'm making a BIG pot of coffee. Who takes cream and sugar?

Okay, here’s a funny story. When I was making the index for this new book, I wrote down hope as one of the categories. But after I had gone through almost all the benedictions I realized I had only categorized one as hope. (1/4)
That seemed like an oversight to me, so I started looking at them again. And I realized it wasn’t that none of them were about hope, but more that all of them were about hope, but not in a direct, imperative way. None of them say, “Be hopeful!“ (2/4)
But hey are about being real & acknowledging pain w/out letting that be the end of the story. Hope is in the edges of each poem, in the soft space between the lines, in the freedom to feel what you feel without judgment & bring the whole of yourself forward into the next moment.
