HPB wrote, "Saturn has many names Ilda Baoth, the Son of Darkness and the creator of the material world, was made to inhabit the planet Saturn, which identifies him still more with the Jewish Jehovah, who was Saturn himself, according to the Ophites."

"From Ilda Baoth emanate six spirits, who respectively dwell with their father in the seven planets."

These planets are, as HPB explains, Saturn, Mars, Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mercury & Venus, the same celestial bodies that form the Mithraic ladder to heaven.

HPB acknowledges Saturn as the king of the golden age. In many esoteric traditions there is a direct relationship between the awakening of the higher mind and the emergence of golden ages. In Buddhism and other religions, gold is a symbol of pine consciousness and spiritual soul.

It must be understood Saturn, "the father of Gods," must not be confused with its namesake, the planet of the same name, though in one sense the two are identical, as are, for instance, physical man and his soul—must be separated in question of worship.

HPB continues, "So the material planet Saturn is the vehicle of the mythological Saturn. Although there is a clear difference between the material and spiritual aspects of this planet, the interaction between them is much like the relationship between physical man and his soul."

Helena P. Blavatsky writes, "Saturn has an important role to play in the ladder to heaven taught in the Mithraic mysteries of ancient Rome. It is said that this ladder has seven steps. The first one corresponds to "the sky of Saturn," that is, the spirit of that planet."

According to Genesis, Hashem created the world in SIX days and rested on the Seventh, which was a Saturday, the Sabbath. According to the Gnostics, most people are in a state of spiritual sleep and do not realize there exists a higher, spiritual reality.

In Sacred Geometry, the number of the physical, material world is SIX, a CUBE has Six Sides.

In DaVinci's Vitruvian Man, we see a man encased in a SQUARE, a 2D representation of a Cube and a CIRCLE, a 2D representation of a Sphere. Hermetically known as Squaring the CIRCLE.

The Square (or CUBE) represents the Physical World and the Mind/ Body while the Circle represents the Spirit, as it no beginning or end. Hence, the Vitruvian Man encased in a Squared Circle symbolizes Man in a Higher State of Consciousness, the Union of the Body and the Spirit.

The Florentine Poet Dante Alighieri is known for his magnum opus "The Divine Comedy", originally called Comedìa (Comedy).

Dante's opus was later christened "Divina" by Giovanni Boccaccio. Dante's "Divine Comedy" is widely considered one of the most important poems of the Middle Ages and the greatest literary work in the Italian language. Not just for the epic tale but the artwork it has inspired.
