Last year, @2100hq caught wind with its Twitter staking alpha.

Users would stake to different accounts to earn social tokens. The more you earned, the more encoded content you unlocked. Those with the most influence placed higher on the leaderboard.

The trend of Twitter influence continues with @hivedotone - assigning ‘scores’ to users based on their engagement in communities like ‘Ethereum’ and ‘Bitcoin’

But, social isn’t only applicable to Twitter.

Using the @3boxdb Hub, users can tie social accounts and profile pictures to an Ethereum address, creating a decentralized identify native to web3.

Couple that with @ensdomains and you’ve got yourself a profile, human-readable address and reputation tied to your onchain persona.

Similarly, @DAOfiDEX is doubling down on the success of @karma_dao by turning DAO creation into a status game.

Add a bonding-curve based AMM and creators are incentivized to start and grow communities with social and monetary value closely intertwined.
