The problem with our money system / debt is that the banker becomes interested in the lenders not being owners, so that they will require more debt. A corrupt banker attacks and divides to reinforce this. Therefore our current financial system creates wanton strife and animosity.
There are other ways! A debtless society. The #LawOfOne hints at this.
We need all currency to be blockchain (secure public ledger), so that no one can print money out of thin air, counterfeit it, commit fraud, nor fraudulently transfer illegitimate funds/numbers to themselves (i.e. current SWIFT shell game).
Every [unit of currency or ballot] has its own legitimate worth and purpose, unless it was created out of thin air by fraud (which we perhaps cannot stop without a secure public ledger [blockchain]).
