Most of things we do in life is indirectly a hedge against uncertainty. Uncertainty is our biggest fear and surrendering to uncertainty is something we don't do.
Coming to the point,
Time is defining segments & moments taking place in life. We define a lot of stuff we do by time. Time has a lot of dependents and if we remove the concept of time then it would render all the dependents useless.

For eg: Productivity is dependent on time. We wouldn't know how "productive" we were in the last few units(of whatever).
We also involve a lot of hope in this equation when we say that we will do a certain activity at this particular time the next day.

We hope & also assume that we would be able to make that Zoom meeting at that particular time when there are high chances that you wouldn't be able to for reasons out of your control.
