#LevellingTheField2020 will be chaired by Dr Kathryn Bell. She is @RCoANews regional adviser, TPD for trainees with differing needs and winner of Evelyn Baker Award by @Assoc_Anaes. Among her many roles she is she is classified as the top gem of the North East Deanery
We have a packed study with 4 sessions.

In the first session, @hemamoaty and @mido19788 will be sharing both good and not so good experiences of their journey since when they joined new to the NHS. The aim is to highlight and discuss the issues which can generate simple solutions and implement positive change.
Joining the panel discussion for the first session will be Prof @RichardBNENC, Dr Mali De Silwa, Dr Faisal Shiekh and Dr Kathryn Bell.

Session 2 from 10:10 to 11:30 is about "challenges in the workplace" such as Bullying and Harassment and referral to GMC
Dr @RooMccrossan of @NewcastleHosps will be addressing about Bullying and Harassment. She is chair of the @Anaes_Trainees comittee and founding member of @bmj_latest award winning Fatigue working group. Roo is currently working on the antibullying campaign #KnockItOut
Dr Julia Siddall will be discussing about referral to GMC. Dr Siddall is Consultant Obstetric Anaesthetist at @NewcastleHosps and has been @RCoANews tutor and regional advisor. She has implemented anti-bullying and anti-racism programme.
Joining the panel discussion about challenges in the workplace will be the legendary Dr Nancy Redfern. Dr Redfern is a mentor, development lead for royal colleges & @Assoc_Anaes. She is also the co-chair of award winning national joint #fatigue working group.
Dr @mikee3711 will also be joining the panel discussion giving the perspective of #SASdoctors and dentists.

The pre-lunch session we will discuss about various challenges faced during career progression including ethnicity pay gaps and #DifferentialAttainment
Mr @surashsurash, neurosurgeon at @NewcastleHosps
@teamneuroRVI and author of #SurashPearceReport will be highlighting the problems about challenges in career progression and issues related to ethnicity pay gap.
Dr Mumtaz Patel, associate dean @NHSHEE_NWest, renal consultant at @MFT_MRI & global VP of
@RCPLondon. Dr Patel has a strong research background in assessment, professionalism, #DifferentialAttainment & quality improvement. She will be discussing about Differential Attainment
Joining the panel discussion will be @karen_pearce01
who is the head of @NUTHEqualities
at @NewcastleHosps and is also the co-author of #SurashPearceReport which is a comprehensive review into ethnic pay-gap and workforce development at @NewcastleHosps
Professor @namita_1 will also be joining the panel discussion about challenges in career progression. Prof Kumar is the dean of @MADEinHEENE, council member of
@RCPLondon and consultant Rheumatologist at
@CDDFTNHS
