It started when Democrats introduced their $3 trillion dollar HEROES Act in May, which included a bailout for the post office, a tax break for wealthy people in blue states, made illegal aliens eligible for stimulus, and mentioned "cannabis" 68 times

As a counter-offer to the HEROES Act, Republicans attempted to negotiate on four different coronavirus stimulus deals over the summer.

In addition to a child rapist, the fund also gave bail to a man who allegedly robbed and stomped on a victim’s head in Minneapolis and a man accused of assaulting an elderly woman as he burglarized her home
