believe me that i get the impulse to want to try and construct the perfect argument, find the perfect angle, assemble perfect logic so that no one could possibly not understand. some people don't understand because they don't want to. in that case you just have to say "no"
many believe "saying no means you don't love them." because their mom says so. i'm here to say: it's not true, and your mom is being a jerk to you when she does that. you can love her even if she is a jerk, but loving her doesn't mean letting her get AWAY with being a jerk
sometimes, especially in a pandemic, saying no is the best way of all to love everyone, even if they refuse to get it (this is called 'being a brat' which is fine and unfair to you but you can still love them when they do that also)
