Goodbye my beloved. From the moment we met, I knew we were meant to be.
It's been more than a decade, and even though you've changed, I love you now more than ever.
I'm sorry I can't stay, but I leave you my heart. And wherever I am, I'll always #StandWithHongKong
Hong Kong airport is utterly dead
Witnessed a whole new level of stupidity on my flight:
One the left: economy, practically empty
On the right: business class, cheek to jowl in a small space on which they CLOSED ALL THE CURTAINS to make it extra covid toasty
Singapore arrival - surreal
After a surprisingly good night's rest at the airport hotel in Singers, I got picked up in my own buggy to go to the gate. Singapore airport also pretty dead - though not as dead as HK
Despite the appearance of covid controls and procedures, they keep putting people together in closed areas and lots and lots of queues. Safe distances my ass.
But the staff are absolutely lovely
Friends, I've arrived at my final destination - now in quarantine. Thank you for the lovely messages - they helped a lot as I cried my way across the skies.
Being emotional about leaving may sound silly to some. But I think Hongkongers understand.
Stay safe everyone 💕
