1. Thread: Starting from the beginning of the Reformasi in 1998, the old political certainties of the post-1969 period have been swept away, especially with the “waves” of the 2008, and 2018 General Elections.

Clearly, the old BN model has outlived its usefulness

2. But as the fall of PH as well as the continuing instability of PN show, Malaysia has not found a workable political realignment to reflect its current realities

3. Every party member wants his or her party to do well—but the chance of any one entity dominating Malaysia the way UMNO and BN did in their heydays are over.

We are well and truly in an era of coalition politics

1. Thread: Making a New Political Alignment Work

There has been much speculation, in light of recent events in Perak, that Pakatan Harapan could forge some kind of cooperation with UMNO and Barisan Nasional.

Anything taking place in Perak will have national repercussions

2. A development of this kind will naturally be a major, if not earth-shaking event in Malaysian politics.

As a KEADILAN MP, I firmly believe that PH is the best platform to achieve a progressive, equitable Malaysia

3. Any new alignment must have the interest of the rakyat at heart—this is non-negotiable.

However, it must also be recognised that political realignments are nothing new in Malaysia

1. Bebenang: Saya ambil maklum setiap rumah ibadat di Malaysia perlu mendapatkan permit dan kebenaran untuk dibina. Dalam isu perobohan Kuil Sri Raja Muniswarar di Taman Bersatu Kuala Kedah, ini adalah hujah utama Menteri Besar Kedah

2. Saya percaya rundingan yang teliti boleh diadakan dengan wakil kuil, supaya perobohan ini tidak kelihatan terlalu tergesa-gesa.

Cuma, kita perlu ingat; isu-isu berkaitan rumah ibadat merupakan isu yang sensitif dan boleh membangkitkan isu perkauman

Inequality and urban poverty have always been serious problems in Malaysia. These have now worsened, and among the worst-hit are students, both in schools and universities

2. With schools closed for much of 2020 (and with no certainty whether 2021 will be any different), students have been forced into distance learning.

3. But if your parents cn afford gd data connections & provide you with a dedicated device —your learning experience will naturally be much different and better than your peer who has to share devices, or worse, are forced to squint their eyes to use mobile phones to attend class

Saya mengucapkan tahniah kepada BN. Saya juga ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pasukan PH atas kerja keras mereka & berharap kekalahan ini tidak melunturkan semangat mereka

Selain itu masalah matlamat kerajaan yg kurang jelas, visi & siapa kepimpinan masa depan turut sukarkan kerja kita
