Most toxic team environment? Working for @NYGovCuomo.
I’ve had many jobs. Waitressing at @Friendlys as a teenager was an infinitely more respectful environment. Even when I had bad customers who tipped poorly.
If people weren’t deathly afraid of him, they’d be saying the same thing and you’d already know the stories.
Seriously, the messages and texts I receive when I speak the truth about this...it’s a whole book of people who have been harmed.
Don’t be surprised that it’s the same small group of white people sitting alongside him at every presser. The same group that he has had by him the whole time, doing his dirty work. If you’re not one of those handful, your life working for him is endlessly dispiriting.
I tried to quit three times before it stuck. I’ve worked hard my whole life. Hustled - fake it till you make it style.

That environment is beyond toxic. I’m still unwrapping it years later in therapy!
And I’m a privileged person. I could opt out and eventually did. I shudder to think what happens to others. It pisses me off so much.
Yes I did not sign whatever they told me to sign when I left. Nope!

He can do these disgusting ads because NY campaign finance laws allow him to spend campaign money on trying to smear us women who came forward about his abuse.

He is literally paying for this abuse with money from New Yorkers.
It’s dark that he can lie & attempt to harm us women again & again in public view. It is even more corrupt that he can do it with campaign $.

And yet NYS leaders with do nothing about this because they don’t want to give up any control over their own campaign $.
It is beyond shameful and shows anyone who is paying attention just how abusive this man is and how lacking he is in anything resembling a moral compass.

The man is literally dead - as a result of a substance abuse problem which is also a mental health problem. What a bizarre moment to talk about “no free passes for police officers.”

There’s no free pass here indeed. The man is dead. This is not how to do police accountability.
So much accountability is needed. This focus is absolutely not where to find it.
Using a dead man as a scape goat for a performative accountability facade is beyond grotesque.

There is nothing wrong with going to a bar and reading your book alone. Begging folks who have a problem with this to get a life and leave this lady alone. 🙏🏼
I swear! Make a problem where there is no problem. Gross.

Alex was my first boss. I basically bugged him until he gave me a job as his admin right out of college. He realizes quickly my talents were not there, but instead working with people and on the landscape.
We would fly to Memphis and work with local community members to create a park at Shelby Farms that would bring people together instead of further apart. He quietly entrusted me with so much and allowed me to develop my confidence and love of public parks and public spaces.
At least at the time, I was the only woman working for Alex and the only non-Yale grad. I never liked sitting with cards that made me the odd one out and so I asked him if I could audit his “Study of the City” course up at Yale while I was working for him.
