He can do these disgusting ads because NY campaign finance laws allow him to spend campaign money on trying to smear us women who came forward about his abuse.

He is literally paying for this abuse with money from New Yorkers. It’s dark that he can lie & attempt to harm us women again & again in public view. It is even more corrupt that he can do it with campaign $.

And yet NYS leaders with do nothing about this because they don’t want to give up any control over their own campaign $.

The man is literally dead - as a result of a substance abuse problem which is also a mental health problem. What a bizarre moment to talk about “no free passes for police officers.”

There’s no free pass here indeed. The man is dead. This is not how to do police accountability. So much accountability is needed. This focus is absolutely not where to find it.

There is nothing wrong with going to a bar and reading your book alone. Begging folks who have a problem with this to get a life and leave this lady alone. 🙏🏼 I swear! Make a problem where there is no problem. Gross.

Alex was my first boss. I basically bugged him until he gave me a job as his admin right out of college. He realizes quickly my talents were not there, but instead working with people and on the landscape. We would fly to Memphis and work with local community members to create a park at Shelby Farms that would bring people together instead of further apart. He quietly entrusted me with so much and allowed me to develop my confidence and love of public parks and public spaces.

When you are smeared after coming forward about abuse, the smears become their own trauma.

But this new trauma shares the space in your mind with the trauma of the original abuse. It makes it that much harder to work through mentally.

Every time it happens I can’t breath. Every time good people are silent, every time people publish the smears, every time you are asked to defend yourself against these multiple abuses at the same time, it is deeply traumatic.

“There are many systems that try to make me feel like I made a mortal mistake in speaking the truth: that continue to victimize women or to truncate us, or to put me on the ground to draw a chalk line around my body. That needs to change for future women." independent.co.uk/news/world/ame… In many ways, I’ve become tired of telling this story and reliving the trauma of one of the most difficult times in my life.

I’m proud that this story conveys what that experience has been like, why I came forward, & why it is so important that we make it easier for each other.

I’ll never forget when we were on the plane & Cuomo slapped Alphonso on the backside as he reached to hang his blazer in the back of the plane.

That’s what he did to me, nonstop.

It’s sad that people in the same fight are on opposing sides. nbcnewyork.com/news/local/hum… It was humiliating. For me. For Alphonso. For anyone working for the governor. Melissa included.

We’ve just chosen different ways to react to abuse of power.

Sad for them.

🧵: I am tired of being asked about homelessness as a blight for people who have homes to experience and not as a life and death problem for people experiencing homelessness. Too often, electeds use a very limited lens when discussing how to solve homelessness. Rarely do they address the less visible drivers: housings costs & wages.

🧵Deeply honored to be on the cover of @CityAndStateNY's Albany Power 100 issue. I would not have found the courage to come forward had it not been for #MeToo & the bold women who came before me, & I am so grateful to the women who followed & validated me. bit.ly/3gb7rSg I was not seeking power when I came forward; in fact, it felt like the most self-destructive thing I could do. But then the most amazing thing happened. Other women joined me in sharing their stories, and together we challenged the most powerful man in the state.

This should be a bigger story than it is already. Have folks lost their collective sense of outrage with this guy because all the crimes?

He used govt resources to write a self-congratulatory book as he oversaw decision-making that killed 15k Nee Yorkers.

I hope his victims and their families get all his blood money.

This man is rotten to the core. It’s not about helping NYC. It’s about exerting his will to benefit himself and his benefactors.

The amount of money sunken into Midtown West purely based around his whims and without local engagement is criminal. nydailynews.com/news/politics/… His posture vis-à-vis regional transit whether we speak of Amtrak or New Jersey Transit is a great example of what a dangerous criminal @NYGovCuomo is. He will literally build entire structures to say “screw you” to other power players that he cannot control.
