1. I feel like there’s this huge gap that's emerged between the consumption of information and the integration of that knowledge.
At least, that’s the biggest complaint I’ve heard while walking people through the process of creating a true Zettelkasten.
2. For example, last night I was on a call and it dawned on me that not even a generation ago, the time to actually ruminate on your thoughts and process deeply what you had consumed was much more viable than this current state of endless scrolling...
3. To have an idea while reading a book, and to spend the next several hours without the barrage of distractions, to really sort out why that resonated with you~
Maybe that’s why when people go off-line, or off-grid for a season, they always exclaim the value of that.
4. However, I'm not proclaiming that detaching from these technological advancements is the answer, but if we can take the time to figure out how to write in a way that allows for this focused thinking, maybe the adage, “writing reveals--what thinking conceals” may hold the key🔑
