They don’t want anybody to be able to make, sell, or view porn or erotica.
A few opportunists take advantage of this & tell this group that they’re going to ban porn. Some opportunists have been able to make a living saying they’re going to ban porn.

That’s been true at least since the 1970s. Opportunists have collected donations & sold books based on this. Meanwhile, porn has become much more accepted, popular, & available.
Technology now allows anyone to create pics & videos & upload them to a worldwide audience.

Relatively few people do illegal & unethical things using such technology. When they use a business like Facebook, Twitter, or PornHub to do it, they are violating the Terms of Service of those businesses, in addition to breaking the law, being unethical, & hurting people.
It’s like using automobiles & roads to commit assault. Or a kid taking a car on a joyride. Most people are not using automobiles & roads to do these things, but a relatively few people are. Should we shut down roads?
The opportunists who are collecting donations from people who don’t want anyone to be able to see depictions of naked people or depictions of sex realize that far more people are concerned about assault than care if people make or enjoy porn.
They also know that PornHub is the biggest site in the business that markets itself as a porn site.
So these opportunists seize upon the tiny percentage of uploads that violate PornHub’s Terms of Service & call for PornHub to be shut down.

They try to pressure politicians & any other business that interacts with PornHub. They ignore that Twitter, Facebook, & other services have exponentially more of similar uploads, even the same videos. Some still attend churches where children have been molested.
They even use Twitter, Facebook, & these other services to attack PornHub. This allows the opportunists to get more support from people who’d NEVER support banning all porn, most of whom wouldn’t support an organization that has opposed all sex outside of heterosexual marriage.
The great thing for these opportunists is: whether or not PornHub gets shut down, they will always be able to collect money. If PornHub stays, the opportunists will keep collecting money. If PornHub closes down, the opportunists will keep collecting money, because...
...there will always be porn.
Meanwhile, even if PornHub gets shut down, people who want to make/sell porn will still find a way to do it. There have always been other businesses for that. And people who want to watch porn will still be able to find it.
