There are at least 310 COVID-19 hospitalizations in hospital including 39 ICU patients.
Lanette Siragusa confirmed that the hospitalizations count represents COVID-19 patients who are still considered contagious. This parallels the under-reporting of ICU patient counts.
I would love to know the chain of decisions that lead to under-reporting COVID-19's *direct impact on health care*.
Also super curious why the reality of hospitalization numbers wasn't revealed weeks ago when the under-reporting of COVID-19 patients in ICU came out.
Such a massive gamble with public trust and compliance with health measures.
I really hope the underlying data isn't polluted and that researchers will be able to analyze COVID-19's true impact on the health-care system that public health measures were in place to protect.
