Our parent company (well, the one we’ll have for the next few weeks at least) has an emergency child care benefit which has helped us get through this tough time financially unscathed. We’re extraordinarily lucky. I truly don’t understand how other parents are making this work.
To be clear, it’s still been really hard to make this all work. Winter with two kids in 700 square feet isn’t ideal! I really don’t know what we’d do without our support system. But it’s tough to complain given how much better we have it than most other parents out there.
Anyway, lots of great child care ideas here, many of which would be EXTREMELY politically popular with us breeders. vox.com/2019/5/22/1830…
