The British media simply don’t get it do they? The EU have given Wednesday as THE penultimate deadline and will implement their contingency plans already in place for a no deal situation thereafter. The inexhaustible patience of the EU over 4 years has finally run out.

So many of today’s U.K. headlines leading with the narrative that Johnson is heading to try to clinch a last minute deal with Ursula von der Leyen is ignoring the fact that the EU have been the most patient & flexible in these negotiations despite pig headed Brexit flag waving.

Why is there no reality check on the U.K. side? Why is the media so complicit in lining up behind Johnson instead of shredding him and his negotiating team for not having done anywhere near enough to reach a compromise that amounts to any significant shift in their position?

The British government’s gesture on the Northern Ireland protocol is nothing but a fudge to feign giving any concessions of any material value. Promising not to break international law as their base line offer is insulting to the rule of law and is the language of a rogue state!

The recent refusal by the British Government to hold a public enquiry into the Finucane murder case tells us all we need to know as to how little we can trust this government on anything. The EU is dealing with con artists & charlatans who have no intention of keeping their word

The only thing this government is notable for is cloaking their real motives behind bluff and bluster. They are still trying to treat 27 European nations as if they are a colony of Britain and need to be reminded they hold all the cards. Instead the U.K. holds the losing hand!

It is fantasy politics and entrenched cynicism towards the EU that is scripting the response from the U.K. side instead of keeping their eye on the bigger picture of the consequences between a deal and no deal.

Instead they positively revel in bogging down their entire negotiating position on the tiny issue of fisheries and a false notion of sovereignty in order to to obstruct the EU negotiators & mislead the U.K. public as to their true plans to capitalise on failed U.K. businesses.

From hedgerow billionaires to privatisation of the NHS and chums contracts, this government has but one real goal: to profit from any viable assets that can be turned into cash converters to enrich the elite few who are Tory donors and believe they have an entitlement to do so.

The only reason Johnson might still sign a deal is that such a deal will give him some credibility in the international community and sell the U.K. as a more attractive and stable location for inward investment.
