I can't believe anyone who has been paying the slightest attention would be surprised by thorough Chinese Communist penetration of the Democrat Party. Of course, a hell of a lot of voters were kept in the dark about all this until the election was over.

For God's sake, did everyone forget about the Chinese nuns handing bags of cash to Al Gore? The Clinton administration handing China the keys to the high-tech future? Do you really think China wouldn't keep doubling down on political investments with that kind of payoff?
And look, how shall I put this delicately? If you're a Chinese Communist agent, you aren't exactly going to face a great deal of ideological opposition when you enter top Democrat Party political circles. Many of them openly admire and envy Chinese authoritarianism.
Democrat Party politics and the Biden 2020 campaign harmonized PERFECTLY with the Chinese Communist Party's political agenda on the coronavirus. That's no accident. Neither was DNC Media parroting every Chinese talking point and accepting their every claim at face value.
The CCP has understood the ease and tremendous value of buying American political influence for decades. They don't deal solely with Democrats, but Dems are much easier for them to manipulate - ravenous for campaign cash and very comfortable with support from foreign sources.
One of the key points of Dem ideology is their arrogant vision of themselves as Citizens of the World on a crusade to "fix" America, the worst nation on Earth. The Chinese are highly adept at flattering that arrogance and subverting the Dem hunger for globalism.
And of course the Chinese developed tremendous influence on Democrat media, and the party itself, by using its "sharp power" to control Hollywood. How many big-bucks Dem donors have NOT been in meetings with steely-eyed Chinese officials with millions of dollars on the table?
American voters accepted a huge amount of interference and outright control from the most hostile of foreign powers in 2020. They were kept in the dark about much of it, but have only themselves to blame for not connecting the very obvious dots the media couldn't conceal. /end
