Lev Parnas's past is checkered with a number of notable episodes: In 2008, his landlord petitioned for a restraining order, saying that when he tried to kick Parnas out of his condo, Parnas put a gun to his head and said, "This is my last warning to you."

Three days after that, the cops seized a small arsenal of weapons from Parnas. The condo at the center of the dispute was on the 42nd floor of Trump Palace in Sunny Isles, Florida.
Parnas also served as chairman and CEO of a company called Edgetech that marketed itself as a seller of computer gadgets. It formed a promotional partnership with NSYNC producer Lou Pearlman just before Pearlman got busted for running one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history.
