7,081 Arizonans have died from COVID. In my Yuma community, 415 were taken too soon. @JENBYUMANEWS continues to update this video so their memory lives on. It's truly tragic that many of these deaths were preventable @dougduceyspark.adobe.com/video/MnalbqbY…
I encourage journalists to reach out to the surviving loved ones to share their lives before it was taken by COVID19.
From this video you can see in some families, multiple family members have lost their lives to COVID.
These numbers are really bad Yuma, Arizona. 151 hospitalized hypoxic patients with COVID19. ICU is full with 31 patients. Aside from this, 655 inmates at Yuma Prison have COVID19. More needs to done. @yumacountyaz
We're all going to have to do our part to get cases of COVID19 down in the community. It's important to shelter-in-place as much as possible with your immediate household. Avoid getting together for the holidays.
Continue to wear a mask. Indoor activities including gyms and restaurants are high risk for contracting COVID19. When grocery shopping, try to do it at off hours such as in the evening. Purchase a pulse oximeter to monitor your oxygen saturation if you get sick with COVID.
If your oxygen is below 91% that is concerning and you should be evaluated at the hospital. Look out for each other and check in with community members if you know they are sick. The hospitalizations will continue to rise unless we take a hardline approach to this pandemic.

I just received tragic news that my friend Jennifer Maria passed away this morning from leukemia, leaving behind 3 children to navigate this world without a mother.
Jen was an ER nurse @nyphospital since 2012. During that time, she touched many lives including mine. You would never know that she was suffering in silence from leukemia by her demeanor, but one day she revealed her diagnosis to me on shift.
She was an advocate for leukemia awareness and created this video looking for a bone marrow match, 1 month before the pandemic. Jen and I had so many crazy shifts together and she saved so many lives, which is why it hurts SO MUCH that we could not save hers.
@senatemajldr Let's keep it 💯 @senatemajldr! COVID relief is being tied up b/c Republicans want to wipe away all COVID-related lawsuits filed that “allege injury or death” due to corporate negligence. But too many died from negligence of corporations and they are getting SUED as we speak!!

A wrongful death lawsuit tied to COVID infections in a Waterloo pork processing plant alleges, Tyson Foods ordered employees to report for work while supervisors privately wagered money on the number of workers who would be sickened by the deadly virus. iowacapitaldispatch.com/2020/11/18/law…

The family of a Publix deli employee who died from the coronavirus in April has filed a lawsuit against the supermarket chain, alleging the 70-year-old was barred from wearing a mask to work and ultimately contracted the deadly virus from a co-worker. thedailybeast.com/publix-refused…
What a disaster! For the sake of Arizona lives, I wish @dougducey would listen to the medical community and implement a shelter-in-place.. anything less is futile. Our Yuma hospital now has 148 COVID19 patients with 29 in the ICU. Everyday will be worse than the last.
Not to mention the 655 new COVID cases at the state prison located here in Yuma.
As an ER doctor, if I managed patients with the same recklessness as @dougducey has managed the pandemic in Arizona, I would be sued and fired with my physician's license revoked. He should be held to the same standard.
Let's say that you're lucky and don't die from COVID19... you'll never be the same after being intubated and placed on a ventilator - NEVER! At least 5,000 people must be intubated per day in the U.S. But y'all wanted to gather for Thanksgiving 🦃
Anyone know where to find the daily people intubated per day in the U.S. This is a very important number to keep an eye on because it indicates the severity of disease in the community. It would also be great if they showed the number of patients on non-invasive ventilation too.
How many millions of Americans required this amount of oxygen support and were lucky to survive COVID19?? We're talking about MILLIONS of Americans who will have severe lung damage for the rest of their lives.
Since March, I've memorialized young people who have died from COVID19 to raise awareness about this deadly disease. Today I had the opportunity to speak to @JoeDanaReports from @12News in Phoenix Arizona about this journey and passion.
Aaron Derringer from Blue Springs Missouri experienced exhaustion and fatigue for a couple of weeks, then one morning was found unresponsive. The father of four, soon to be five died from COVID. He was 41. fox4kc.com/news/after-blu…
I keep it 💯. My followers know on Nov 23 I sounded the alarm about ZERO ICU beds in Arizona. From the frontlines to your Twitter account. HCWs in Arizona are worried. You deserve the truth, b/c OUR LIVES depend on it! People are dying and @dougducey ain't doing shit about it.
There is NO WAY we are going to win against this virus. It's infecting everyone in the community and it's going to collapse the hospital system. Everyone in healthcare will tell you the same thing, but @dougducey is trying to SAVE FACE.
This is a graphic from 12/4, notice how long it took AFTER the shutdown on 6/29 for COVID cases to decrease. Every day this is extended more and more ICU beds are needed. What part of global pandemic does @dougducey not get??
