Scaffolded Concept Map

Reviewing last week's work, each student is given a copy of this slide to complete.

1. Teacher creates a concept map
2. Then create blank version (w/ keywords on side)
3. Share via Google Classroom

Thread below:
2. Wanted to create a scaffolded task that students can work on individually or in pairs (easily achieved with Google Slides). Fill-in-the-blanks hand-written versions get messy and don't allow for failure/redo learning. Also ideal for students working from home.
3. Regularly using concept maps like this, I hope to be able to use the same format in future but with more of the keywords as ??? boxes. Students could also be asked to add a suitable preposition connector instead. Or ultimately, they get a blank Slide and start it from scratch!
4. The blank concept map is actually an embedded image (ie background to the Slide) so that it doesn't interfere with students dragging boxes around.
5. More than happy to share the template with anyone interested and to help co-construct one (again, Google Slides is so effective for collaborative planning).
