In the absence of meaningful opportunities to participate socially, politically and economically, marginalized young people are strikingly creative in forging alternative places of belonging and meaning through which to express themselves. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
The main strength is that we are youth-led. Young members decide how,in what way, where and when to organize certain projects. They brainstorm ideas&they are in charge of everything. These young members meet with sponsors&they negotiate wth them. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
We, the youths, are dreamers, entrepreneurs. We are victims, of course, too, and we cannot change that. But we are also everything else. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
Youth, unlike many other “unchanging” forms of identity (such as ethnicity or race), is a transitional phase of life. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
The idea of youth as a transitionary period is sometimes taken to imply that the formal markers of chronological age might be the most consistent signposts for defining young people. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
Although young people share many of the same peace and security challenges as society at large, there are unique dimensions to being young that expose young people to distinct challenges and opportunities. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg @UNFPAUganda@AcordUganda
Young women and young men have a critical role in promoting and maintaining international peace and security. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg

Across the globe, there are extraordinary young people creatively seeking ways to prevent violence and consolidate peace. #Youth4Peace #PeaceNotViolenceUg
