Should this be included in the "how to be a good parent" 101 course?
Same with moral values, not lying or stealing, how to be humble, etc.
As soon as we start standardizing this stuff we're getting a hell of a lot closer to communism!

I don't feel strongly either way here. I'm just thinking out loud and trying to learn.
But folks jump on this bandwagon because they don't understand how complex personal finance really is.

As soon as our school system starts telling people how they should live things get all messed up.
This is America. You can be an entrepreneur and take risk if you want. You can contribute 3% to your 401k for 40 years if you want.
You can spend money you don't have if you want.

This would boil down to a 1 page PDF that doesn't apply to kids and they'd forget 2 days later.
An investor can say "of course financial literacy should be taught!!"
