Ok, finally I got the response. I decided to write it in a separate thread.I want to have all response in one place. I will put SS of his response and respond to that one by one. 1/n
Pic1: It is irrelevant who talked about the book first. The point was he raised the question of Maru being Rajput. If he knew about that book he should have checked it immediately before asking. She responded by sharing the SS. So, the question asked was well answered. 2/n
Pic2,3,4: We have 2 primary sources. Both agree on the theme. Only point was Mirza Nathan do claim few things which are exaggeration. Tallying that with MP mentioned time of Rathayatra it is clear that d Raths were ceremonial Raths. Which r still used today pulled by thousands3/n
exactly the same way as mentioned by Nathan. I couldn't find mention of 4 lakh raths as he is saying. D exact text in SS. But, he seems 2 ignore the point that 2 very different people r writing, naming same person n narrating similar story. Dat z more important here thn 4/n
Any variation of no of Raths or people used in the war(normal devotees without doubt would have fought to save temple). It is upto neutral observers to accept or reject this completely due to this variation which can be explained perfectly by context of Rathayatra . 5/n
He seems to completely ignore that important point and just find loopholes even though they are perfectly explainable. 6/n
What is he trying to say here?? Yes, Kapilendra was of 15 century. How does it change anything. Madala Panji is written by Deula karanas every year. During muslim invasions some were destroyed but not all. And some were re written. He might not have 7/n
Read madala panji but I've (some part). Here is the exact text. Yes, it is in Odia. Which says about Udayagiri, Ramasetu, Ganga river. It also says other things. Madala Panji is huge. It is not one book or something. There many parts. Written or rewritten doesn't matter.
It says things wch r proved 2 b true beyond doubt from epigraphic evidences found in 19-20 th century. Before complaining that it is in Odia , please get tht verified by any Odia unrelated 2 twitter
Now this pic, irrevalent to topic. Ignoring this as it doesn't mean anything here
Again irrelevant. Not related to what we are discussing. Ignored.
Point 1: doesn't matter here, but 1 theory says it was written first during Ganga period and later during bhoi rule(around 1600). That means it is contemporary to exact time period which we are discussing. It is usually written by the Deula Karana(temple scribes)
Whose job was to write about various things on Odisha, temple , politics etc every year. And there is a possibility that during this Kesodas Maru episode they might have been present at the site as eye witness.
Point 2: Kalapahara didn't destroy everything. It is not a single
Book. It is written every year. So, this point doesn't mean anything.
Point 3: I've shared screen shots of few proven facts. Thousands are there.
Point 4: with corroborative evidences account is definitely true.
If some of them think Odias are doing a propaganda here then let me tell them. It is not true. This incident was always known to Odias in academic sphere and people interested in history. Many books and articles are written on this. It is not because some twitter fight someone is
Defaming Rajputs. Infact people used to hide it. As stated earlier we have respect for Rajputs for their contribution. But, that doesn't mean one need to defend one who has committed a blunder.

Long Thread:
Debunking the myth of Rajputs saving Hinduism(from islamic iconoclasts) in Odisha.
In last few days there are some people who are trying to selectively quote few things and create an impression that Rajputs saved Odisha from iconoclastic muslims 1/n
To discuss this specific issue I will analyse various available information from beginning of islamic rule in India till d period of start of Maratha rule in Odisha(from 1193 to 1751). In dis I will cover the question of Rajputs safeguarding hindu cause in Odisha as well. 2/n
Muslims started ruling in India after the fall of Prithviraj Chauhan. It is to the credit of Rajputs and other Indian kingdoms who stopped the islamic armies for centuries. But, finally they lost and by around 1200 they reached near the border of Odisha. 3/n
