Why cant we accept the fact that the Taliban can pursue peace and a policy of violence/terrorism to maximise its position in both the battlefield and in Doha? Why is the world - namely the US - giving these guys a free pass. Being a Taliban apologist is no longer acceptable
And yes we should continue to support talks. The need to restart talks is more urgent now than ever before. We have to strengthen individuals who are determined to end this conflict - on both sides. Our nation today demands an end to this conflict which we all need to respect
