A 2011 Census thread for Christmas about the Llangadog ward in Wales, and the Hamlet of Bethlehem within it
The population in this area during the 2011 census was 1,929 – made up of 817 households in 2011
Luckily there were 39 people working in the accommodation and food services who could help provide the weary traveller with food and shelter
In 2011, the area had 161 people working in agriculture, forestry and Fishing and 49 working in construction and building trades
Sadly, the census doesn’t record how many converted stables there are
The most common occupation in the area were those working in agriculture and related trades, however, there were 35 people working in the arts, entertainment and recreations helping to keep everyone jolly
Out of all the possible methods of travel to and from work, 10 people said ‘other’ in 2011 in the area
We cannot confirm if donkeys were used
The 477 people aged 16 and over with a level 4 qualification or higher made up 29.6% in 2011, making them wiser than the average for England and Wales at 27.2%
And out of all those recorded in the 2011 Census in the Llangadog ward featuring Bethlehem, 94 people were living in a different village, town or city the year before
You can’t help wondering how many travelled there for the census. #MerryChristmas
