Six months ago today I started my YouTube channel all about the nature I see locally or conservation topics that interest me! I’m loving making the videos and seeing the feedback! See my thread below for some of my highlights. m.youtube.com/channel/UCOs9J… (1/13)
My first video was made for #LetsGoLive with @maddiemoate and @gregfoot. I’ve watched every episode, which was great during lockdown, and loved it when they showed this video on their ‘Over To You’ episode. (2/13)
My first ‘proper’ nature video was about the family of Moorhens on our garden pond. Part I - Eggs, Hatching and Feeding and Part II - The Chicks Grow Up - Naturetastic with Henry started! @Natures_Voice (3/13)
When we could start getting out and about we visited the local @wildlifebcn nature reserves - I love them! I’ve put all the videos of these together in a playlist youtube.com/playlist?list=… The education officers have been amazing and really encouraged me!(4/13)
The @BarnOwlTrust saw my video about Owl Pellets and asked me to write an article for their magazine, which was really cool! Owl Pellet Study | Barn Owl (5/13)
My first really video that had over 300 views was all about my Deer Safari at Watatunga in North Norfolk. We saw lots of rare deer and the Great Bustard! I can’t wait to go back when it reopens! (6/13)
A lot of my video have been about Water Birds, so I made a video about my Top 10 (before I saw a Kingfisher!). I loved seeing the Spoonbill at @RSPBAireValley... oops, that’s a spoiler! (8/13)
When Tristan de Cunha created a massive Marine Protection Zone I made a video about it! I received lovely feed back from so many people, incl @NatureTristan@Natures_Voice and @fkilpatricktdc I want to learn more about it in 2021 (9/13)
It was lovely to receive a message that someone had visited Titchmarsh Nature Reserve for the first time after seeing my videos from there. Here is the one about the Starling Murmurations (10/13)
If you’ve read this far, please take a look at my channel, and subscribe if you like it! I’ve had over 3000 views in six months which is amazing! Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (12/13)
Oops... forgot to mention @WildlifeTrusts@wildlifebcn#12DaysWild! Yesterday I went for a walk to see where the river had flooded our village and today we are going for a long walk to where the Red Kites roost near us! (14/13) 🤣🤦🏻♂️
