Senator David Perdue’s third campaign of the day is at a gorgeous events space in Milner, Georgia. It’s 64° and sunny, and “Walking Back to Georgia” by Jim Croce is playing over the speakers as we await Perdue.
Senator David Perdue’s campaign bus has arrived in Milner, Georgia, for his third stop of the day. The campaign has encouraged to supporters to sign their name to the Senator’s bus at each of his campaign stops, which, as you can see, has garnered a number of autographs.
Lamar County Commissioner Ryran Traylor presents Senator David Perdue with a pin from the County commemorating his visit.
Opening remarks in Milner, David Perdue recounts a visit he made to the Bush family’s compound in Kennebunkport, ME, telling supporters, “all you ladies would love it, it's not over decorated, it's very homey, very comfortable, you know like you would expect Miss Barbara to do.”
Speaking in Milner, GA, Perdue tells supporters, “in 2016, there were only two United States senators who endorsed and worked for Donald Trump to become President, and you're looking at one of them.” (The other one is former AG Jeff Sessions, since fallen out of favor w/ Trump).
Perdue once again praises Trump for passing Covid relief after threatening to veto it, telling supporters “there were things in there he didn't like. But he said the greater good was to help people who are hurting right now & that's why he's pushing the $2,000 deal right now too”
In his remarks, Perdue made no reference to whether he’s spoken to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConell about actually voting on additional relief, nor if he plans to return to Washington to vote on said package.
Once again, Senator David Perdue did not respond to shouted questions regarding whether he’d call on McConnell to bring a vote on $2000 Covid relief checks to the Senate floor.

David Perdue’s campaign event in Forsyth, GA is indoors, and there’s a temperature check and stack of masks by the door, but there’s only ten people by my count wearing masks in this room (two are reporters, and two are Perdue and his wife).
Tonights host, a Forsyth, Georgia Brewery owner, tells Senator David Perdue they’ve renamed their best selling beer “the Perdue Brew” just for tonight, “And the reason why is because it has a great head on its shoulders...and it’s got a really strong finish.”

Today was going to be a busy day in Georgia, w/ VPE Harris and Ivanka Trump both campaigning in the state, but this evening’s Covid relief vote has disrupted both campaigns, as Harris, Loeffler, and Perdue all are returning to DC.
